Regina tells Inez about her happiness at breaking free and expressing herself. This is love says lovely Inez. She suddenly sees Fina and Roberta walk by but by the time Regina stands up to look at them, they are out of sight. She says her odd feelings of turned tables, now she is the OTHER woman.

Augie presses his case to get Renata out of her marriage post haste. She repeats the torn photo story and says she guesses she won’t have that perfect picture of husband, family, dog and fireplace but Augie suggests, well certainly not with Jero but perhaps with another man….

The big development: Jeronimo and Carlos show up at the police station to formally denounce and accuse Dr. Nesmethenasty, Augustin Dunante and Roberta Montrubbio as suspicious persons in the murder of his brother Rafael. Jero only wants justice. Now that he knows that his brother was murdered, there will be hell to pay. His aside to Carlos is that he was distracted earlier by his love for Renata but now he wlll avenge his brother’s murder. A bit more of the arrested development in our reforming underhero.

Gonzo shows up with sparkle in his eyes and a skip to his step, compliments the receptionist about how well she looks then continues down the hall only to encounter the dour work group that has discovered Blanca has made transfers of their investments of considerable sums into (fantasmas) bogus accounts. Gonzo swears they will move heaven, earth and sea to nail her extortingass. Honorio says she planned this from the first day and was so convincing and so competent seeming that no one watched. In fact he signed things she gave him without reading carefully so he will look responsible for the loss of funds. Hon owns up that the situation is very grave, the entire business is at risk.

Jero signs the complaint to launch the arrests. Carlos counter-signs as witness. Jero and Carlos leave assured that the search for justice is underway….again….

Augie is annoyingly (to me anyway) glued to Renata all the way into the lobby of MontedeProblemas (aka, Empresa Monterubbio) He waxes on how he will be at her disposal but she reassures him that she will not be at his side (you know as main-squeeze.) He has to go to the airport but will return day after tomorrow to help her with the divorce proceedings. She looks aside at this controlling gesture, but still seems to be convinced of his great good intentions. As he leaves Renata wonders why Jero couldn’t have been like this with her.

Daniel calls Blanca to tell her the game is heating up and he is scared of being discovered. Where did she put the money? You have to withstand the pressure, she says sexily In her new office at some trendy bar, with morning brandy already poured, she tells him he has to take risks if her wants the ton of money he will get from his cooperation.

Constanza and Chema show up a the park with the embroidered table cloth that must have been his mother’s. She must be twirling in her grave as he set the red wine on the cloth and kisses Consta. Chema is kissing her telling her to get it into her head that she should just feel her feelings and let go. (Sorry, I just channeled my mother for a minute there, fussing about the lovely old table cloth .) Let’s just enjoy the going-no-where but enjoyable foreplay by the best kisser in the whole telenovela. (Sorry again, I’m not channeling anyone else this time…)

Jero thinks how he could have acted so differently if he had knows that Rafa’s death was a murder not a suicide. He texts to Renata that he misses her knows she is innocent and loves here. (I must add, the photography on these constant texting scenes is so professional! They must not have gotten a product endorsement though as we never see if it is iphone, droid, blackberry, or what.)

Gonzo and Renata talk that Blanca’s theft is so great that they could be driven into bankruptcy. It’s like old times for Renata to step back into her role they discuss how the transfers into bogus accounts can be traced if she will help. After all, she is the expert says loving Papa. He doesn’t want to hire someone new and unknown into this mess. She promises to stay and fix it all. He assures her he doesn’t know what happened on the stairs but believes she would never do anything to harm her sisterugly (I know, not Gonzo’s spoken words) and she is grateful for his confidence and belief in her.

Dr. NesmetheNasty is lying in the plaza taking drippy swigs from his bottomless flask when the police show up to identify and arrest him. He is only too happy to identify himself since they use “Doctor” Just in time Padre comes out of a store and watches the whole thing which he can then recount to an amazed Kari who finishes buying stuff for the church and refuge center, when she emerges from the store a complaining but incoherent husband was just driven off in a patrol car. (I think he could just as well been arrested by the fashion police for continuing to wear those 70’s leisure suits that he has in way too many colors.)

Renata texts back to Jero that she doesn’t understand anything about him. But she doesn’t pick up the phone.

Adriana comes into Renata’s old office and is so excited her old friend is back. Matias comes in with books and when Renata asks if his presence means he believes her innocence, he assures her he also knows she was not responsible for the fall, but they so have these books to worry about. Adriana ever the great team motivator says they will work together to move forward with the company.

Jero is still trying to figure out why Renata won’t call him back, he can’t warn her about what is coming.

We see split screen and triple screen how Renata can do the work of three and then she finds a notebook in a cabinet and runs out to report to Matias that they need to talk with papa and uncle about what she has discovered. In a NY minute (o un D.F. minuto,) she has figured out that they had certain confidential information that was never on the computer but in notebooks under lock and key because some information if available on the computer would have made them vulnerable privacy raids on the computer. So they kept the information in notebooks and in computers. But someone knowing the private information could prejudice their customers. Renata already knows that the only one who had knowledge of all this way of keeping the archived records was Daniel. He worked directly for her and Adriana and knew all of the private information before Blanca came. Honorio tries to say NO, Blanca was super capable, she must have done it all. Gonzo takes both bits of information and says we will proceed with caution with the family only,

The family members are in Gonzo’s office when Daniel comes in to rejoin them but Gonzo tells him to keep doing what he was doing and they will take care of this. He leaves leaving the door ajar as he hesitates outside; Renata goes to the door and thanks him but closes the door. Adriana is there now and very surprised that Uncle Gonzo seems annoyed with Daniel. Why? She asks. He is the only one who could have known everything about the accounts and he might to still be in touch with Blanca. Adriana the sweet asks, but why would he do this? Matias says for money, he might have been offered a lot of money to help with this big of an embezzlement. They will keep him (alejado) at a distance, while they find the proof of what Blanca has stolen.

Roberta and Fina come in from the hospital and order up a glass of water for the pills form Eulalia. Fina begins to call Gonzo to tell him they have arrived home. Roberta carps that since Matias is her husband, he should have come to bring her home. The door rings and an annoyed Fina has to stand up and answer it. The three officers tell a scared-looking Fina they are looking for Roberta Monterubbio. She is momentarily relieved then they tell Robera a second time that this (orden de apresión) arrest warrant is brought because she is suspected of the murder of Rafael.

Ezekiel meets Augie at the airport telling Augie that there are a few bombs to report, then they all meet Jero and the officers who arrest Augie Doggie. I’m not sure why Jero was allowed to be there at the airport for the arrest, perhaps just for identification. Augie says but he committed suicide, I have nothing to do with this. They know he was at La Bonita at the time of the murder, he assures Augie that is it is proven he was involved in the murder of his brother he will see justice done. Or does he quietly say he will kill him. Couldn’t hear it completely and either scenario is likely.

Augie faces Jero in handcuffs and asks why would I do this? Jero posits that he wanted to buy Rafa’s land but Rafa wouldn’t sell it. Well this must have to do with Renata then. It has nothing to do with her, says Jero. Curiously, Arely is also there watches the whole transaction through the glass wall of the airport without moving more than her eyebrow.

Adri questions if Renata, now done with Jero, will want Matias back. Renata affirms that she will always be involved with Matias but only as a friend and brother. They giggle that Adriana wants to be involved with Matias. Adriana tells her of the waking in his arms on the couch at work. Renata says she is sure that the farce of a marriage between Matias and Roberta will not last long especially now.

Fina makes her hysterical call, Gonzo puts her on speaker she rants that Roberta has been arrested and taken to the police station (delegación).

Padre and Kari question the police about why Nesme was arrested. The officer explains that he is implicated in the murder of Rafael because he didn’t not perform or order an autopsy to determine cause of death. Augie comes in surrounded by many officers to be escorted down the hall. (This delegación is so familiar from so many telenovelas, they at least have given the office and the cells a fresh coat of paint.)

Jero tells Carlos if he had known about the murder in the first place he would have acted completely different. Sure sure… Carlos says maybe you wouldn’t have met Renata if you hadn’t suspected her in your brother’s death. No, I met her before. (remember the romantic tumble at he airport) before he even knew what had happened to Rafa. Carlos says your destinies are crossed how ever it happened.

Augie is brought into the cell across from Nesme. Augie accuses Nesme of his troubles. Nesme, barely more sober from sheer terror says but you made me forgo the autopsy. They both remember the conversation that Nesme feels bad they dispense with the autopsy but because Nesme was also so drunk. Nesme goes into melt down. As the scene closes we see reptilian eyes in Augie banging on his cell bars and fade to that reptilian sneer we see so often: Fina, serpentmom

Roberta promises her mother she is innocent, she never killed anyone. Fina gets to relive her real killing of Rafa again, and probably or let us hope not for the last time. We can’t think this is an accident she had the gun when she entered. She vows to clear her daughter. After all she does know better than anyone alive that Roberta is innocent.

Matias and Gonzo prepare to go to the police station to rescue Roberta, He suggests that Adriana and Honorio will continue with investigating the books, Gonzo asks Renata to call her husband to see why he has accused Roberta of Rafa.s death. Renata is going to stay to help but Hon says no we will keep working, you call your husband. Yeah call my husband, well, he still is my husband.

Ezek brings the lawyer to Augie’s cell who asks him if he is innocent. Between outbursts he says yes. Was he in the house when Rafa was supposedly shot? Yes but he only went to leave him a check as a deposit on the harvest he had bought from Rafael.

Back at the hacienda. Kari arrives wanting to know why Jero accused Nesme. He tells her he is only seeking justice. Nesme was drunk and so did not save Rafa or perform an autopsy to determine cause of death which could have uncovered the murder . So now he is implicated as an accomplice. He will have to pay for what he has done.

Renata finally calls Jero who tells her his brother’s exhumation and subsequent autopsy revealed that he was murdered not that he committed suicide. And that Augustin was at the house at the time he was dying. And Roberta wrote the rejection letter that was found after his death No one knew of the existence of this letter before. She thinks he must have received it before. Jero insists, no, someone brought it to him, there was no (sobre) envelope.

Roberta being asked to make statements by an officer, cries that she will not say anything else until her lawyer arrives but just that her only declaration is that she is innocent. Innocent, inocent of the crime I am accused of.

Licenciado comforts Fina who swears Roberta is innocent, he assures her he believes her daughter is innocent and he will do everything in his (en mis manos) power to get her daughter out of jail. He will go now to talk to the some public official. Gonzo appears just after while Fina wails about 100 times more that he has to get Roberta out of jail and prove her innocence.

Gustavo calls the Cantu to tell him that he is coming to MexDF and he will have all proof that is needed. (we assume about Fina/Pepa.)

The precious Andrecito gets sprung from the hospital to the cheers of his class, his parents kiss and Regina and Cata look on complimenting the wonderful marriage, and their relief. Que Barbaro, this is real love, says Cata with a meaningful glance toward Regina. Andrecito gets applause while repeating the family mantra, no one surrenders here.

Detective Cantu tells Antonio that Pepa is probably Fina, one of her daughters is not hers, and he will have the proof soon. Antonio is very bothered by this news. He is sure Gonzo is involved somehow and he’s always close to Regina.

Matias and Renata show up and Renata tells Mommie Dearest that Jero told her he accused Roberta because he found a letter from her breaking up with him.

Fina’s flashback shows her in almost sepia tones, telling Rafa that Roberta fortunately (recapacitada) reconsidered and doesn’t want him after all. She pulls the letter out of her hand bag and hands it to him. He rips the envelope open and reads it but he doesn’t believe it. You probably made her write it. Fina then recalls sitting with a pad of paper with Roberta’s handwriting, practicing her forgery. All Fina can do is collapse to change the subject. They finally agree that Renata can go help her sister, Matias follows.

Augie tells Ezek that he needs his help, he wants him to find the way to destroy Linares. Ezek, says pardon me but I can’t do that . Augie grabs him through the bars telling him he has paid him a lot of money and he will do what he wants or else. Ezek says no, things have changed after what happened between me and Alfonsina, my son is all I have and I don’t need more problems or shame. I would do almost anything for you but not that. Ezek gets away from the bars and leaves.

Roberta says snidely to Renata, you must be really happy with what your imbecile husband has done to me. Renata keeps to the subject, I can help you but I need to ask you questions and you need to answer (contundente) convincingly you must tell me the absolute truth. After a pause, Roberta decides Renata is her only chance to get out. I swear I didn’t kill Rafa . And do you swear that you had nothing to do with Rafa? She finally says since you are willing help me, I will tell you the truth. I was in a romantic relationship with Rafa. I am going to tell you the whole truth: I AM LA BONITA…

Well the arrests seem to be complete for the moment but the developments are coming fast and furiously as they set us up for how everyone will react to so many startling events tonight. My fingers are tired from typing this lightening fast capitulo and in half an hour my birthday begins. Willa and I are going very early for a hike with my friend and her friend Sierra an aptly named St. Bernard. sWe will hike up the northern side of the Sandia Mountain until we are starved, then we’ll descend to enjoy brunch at the Range in Bernalillo.

Ricardo blames Rebecca for everything that he's lost, his future was all planned out until she came along. Rebecca say ay pobrecito! Too bad you can't go back. Ric says there may not be a chance to go back that doesn't mean he's not going to get some of what was lost to him, one way or another. He proceeds to force himself on her and pushes her back on to the blue chair as she begins fighting back like a wild cat kicking and clawing at him. She manages to get herself upright again, only for him to slap her back on to the chair where he ramps up his assault even more. The almost empty bottle of Montalvo tequila is within reach and she grabs it and clubs him over the back of the head with it. He's not knocked out, but seeing stars for sure and she takes that opportunity to scramble out the door and out of the apartment building to her waiting SUV parked right out front. It's a moment before she pulls herself together, as she's tearfully shaken up by what almost happened to her. Shakily she gets the key in the ignition and drives away. A few seconds behind her departure; Al in his BMW pulls in to the same spot. Meanwhile inside the apartment, Ric ices his bruised scalp as he examines his clawed up cheek. Right then, he hears his doorbell and checks the peephole. It's Al! Ricardo thinks better to not answer.

Sergio is at Lety's retrieving his car. She jokes that she was beginning to think he had gifted it to her, but Sergio says it was so late by the time he got finished with Rod's legal problems that he thought it was better to wait until the next day to come get his car. Lety wants the scoop on Rod, did he do it? Sergio says no, Rod says he didn't do it and he believes his buddy. Lety wants to know what the Police think, do they have proof? Sergio says he doesn't think he should discuss this with her or anyone for that matter. Why not? We're friends right? But Sergio isn't sure they're friends because if they were she would have confided in him about her father. He's been waiting for days for her to turn to him and trust him but she hasn't and that says a lot to him. Lety tries to explain but it's too little too late for Sergio. He gets it, and he's okay with it. If Lety didn't think about him, she just didn't. He thanks her for taking care of his car and he'll see her tomorrow at work. Lety is left to ponder this relationship.

Rebecca comes into her house and pauses at the stairs to tidy up her shirt and appearance unaware that Dr. Roman Andrade is sitting a few feet away from her. Good afternoon! Clearly it's not for Rebecca and she stomps toward him, eyes blazing. What the hell are you doing here? He tells her that Al asked hi to come by to speak to sNora and he's waiting for her to come down. Rebecca doesn't know what Al has told Doc but she doesn't want him to see sNora anymore not in his office or here and not her either. Roman wonders why his presence bothers her so much. Who do you think you are? Roman tells her he's sNora's doctor and he's convinced that she could help sNora if she wants to see her get better. sNora is the most important thing in my life and if you had an ounce of intelligence you would know I have nothing to do with her bad/evil behavior. Roman has all the mental assessment he needs from this short get-to-know session with Rebecca. He tells her that he doesn't doubt that she loves sNora as he says she does, but there is a type of love that hurts. She screams at him to get out, just as sNora comes strolling in. Why are you running off my doctor? Because he has nothing to do here. Roman tells her the truth, he came to see her because he knows she's had a rough time lately but he doesn't want to force the situation. So it's up to her does he stay or go? It's a clear challenge for sNora as Roman waits and Rebecca lifts her chin confident her daughter will side with her. sNora takes a step toward adult hood and tells the handsome doc to stay. She gives her mother a hard stare. Lucia comes down the stairs and catches a glimpse of Roman before sNora slides her father's study/office doors shut. She asks Rebecca if that was Dr. Roman Adrade. Well I don't think there are two like him! Rebecca replies on her way up the stairs. Does my father know? No answer.

sNora tells Doc Roman that she asked him to stay only because she doesn't like her mother making decisions for her but the truth is she's fine. Are you sure? Yes why do you doubt it? Roman says he knows she had some family problems and he wanted to see if she needed help, but only if she wants it. sNora façade dissolves into tears and she sits in the chair and buries her face and sobs. Is it that bad? sNora says the whole world thinks she's crazy but it's just that no one understands her, not her mother or her father..no one. She begins to cry uncontrollably again, this time prompting Roman to get up and come to where she is. He gently places his hand on her back. The simple gesture prompts her to turn and place his hand against her face. He allows it gives her his other hand. This girl is dying of toxicity, Rebecca's.

Lucia is still looking for her father and she calls up to Tere who is standing in the hallway getting herself babe-licious for Lalo. Tere has no idea where Al is. Lucia thinks it's strange that her father would leave if he knew Dr. Andrade was coming over, but then she thinks maybe he didn't know. Tere realizes that the young man that came to see sNora is a doctor and wonders if she's sick. Lucia no and it doesn't matter. Tere asks if Lucia isn't going to mention how she looks and assumes it's because she looks bad. Lucia says on the contrary, she looks very pretty! Tere even the girls a bit on display with some serious cleavage. Has Lalo come for you? Tere says no, and Lucia said most likely he was, but now she's nervous he isn't coming. Lucia tells her to go out to the street, maybe he's about to ring the bell. You think so? Lucia tells her she's got nothing to lose. Tere gets excited again and says you're right I don't. Before she leaves Lucia asks her what time it is. 2:30! Outside Tere looks around before opening the gate, just then Lalo comes running. I thought you were never going to come out! He says kissing her hand. And I thought you were never going to arrive! Why don't you ring the bell? Lalo says it didn't occur to him. Well never mind she says, where are you taking me? Lalo says where ever you want Teresita! Well it's Sunday and she always goes to mass. Lalo says well then let's go!

At Marcelo's place he has what I believe is his second male visitor! Nazario! Rafi gives the run down of drinks, coffee, lemon water or how about some orange juice? Naz declines them all, he's just there to see his buddy Marcelo. Raf leaves them to visit in peace, but tells Naz to be sure and not tire Marcelo too much. Marcelo apologizes for Rafi's protectiveness, but Naz says Marcelo is fortunate to have someone like her who cares about him and he tells Marcelo that she was very worried about him when he was injured, they all were. His mom, Lucia, Al and even Naz. Marcelo says he's grateful, he knows Naz was there all night until he knew Marcelo was out of danger. Naz jokes that Marcelo didn't deserve it. Marcelo tells Naz that with him he's experienced and confided things he never had the chance to do with his father. Naz is clearly moved and says he expects that means he will have a dignified place at Marcelo's wedding to Lucia. Marcelo is pleasantly surprised that Lucia told Naz. Naz says it's time Marcelo speak with Al and Marcelo agrees even if it means he'll have to speak with his mother too. Marcelo tells Naz that he (Naz) doesn't know his mother, but telling her could complicate things further.

sNora swears it wasn't her intention to hurt her mother. She put her hand in the way and was cut by the letter opener. It wasn't her intention. Roman says it may not have been her intention but she has to acknowledge that her reaction wasn't the most suitable. Well sorry sNora says but she was desperate. Her mother was threatening to take her far away from Marcelo and she couldn't permit it especially now that Lucia and Marcelo are going to get married. Roman says he knows it hurts sNora but sooner or later she's going to have to accept it. No! sNora says she won't allow it, Lucia has no right to marry the man I love. Roman tells Lucia to answer him truthfully, does she really love Marcelo or is she just obsessed with him because he loves her sister Lucia? sNora is completely put off by his comment, he's just like everyone else…everyone else thinks the same thing he does, but it's not true. sNora says she loves Marcelo he is the love of her life. sNora doesn't know what Lucia has that every man who crosses her path ends up falling in love with her. sNora notices that some Lucia fairy dust is in Roman's eyes and she puts him sharply in her focus. Just like you…you like Lucia? Why do say that? Roman asks, as the fairy dust lifts up and around his head. Because you said when you met her she left you with a good impression. Roman says just because she left him with a good impression doesn't mean he likes her. sNora thinks that may have been his ulterior motive for coming over..a possibility of seeing Lucia. He cuts his visit short saying we'll leave things right here and I'll expect you at my office tomorrow for your usual consultation, if you decide to continue with the therapy. After he leaves, sNora says he likes her…of course he likes her. Outside the enchanting fairy princess herself waits for Doc Andrade. She asks him how it went with her sister. Better than expected he says, he got sNora to open up and talk to him. He asks how her boyfriend is doing and Lucia says much better. She tells him that Marcelo is going to continue to be a source of disruption between her and sNora. Roman says don't worry, sNora is going to end up understanding. Lucia says she hopes so. Roman says it's obvious that Lucia cares for her sister in spite of everything. Lucia says very much, sNora is her only sister and even if they never have gotten along well, she wants her sister to be happy. Doc Roman is obviously enchanted and another misting of fairy dust has fallen on him. This time she says goodbye to him with a warm kiss on the cheek and he stays rooted to the spot watching her walk away. He'll probably never wash that cheek again. Lucia fairy love potion, we gotta bottle this up!

Sara comes home and finds Lety in her bed and assumes she's ill. Lety says no she was just thinking. Sara hopes it's not about her father, but Lety says sort of but not really. She proceeds to tell her mother about the incident with Sergio. Sara asks her daughter if they're such good friends then why didn't you tell him? Lety says she's not sure, probably because she was ashamed. Sara says if she values her relationship with Sergio, then Lety needs to ask for his forgiveness. Lety says she'll do it first thing when she sees him at work the next day. Sara urges her to go do it right now, to which Lety chuckles because it wasn't that long ago, her mom was kicking Sergio out of her house. Sara reminds her that she also was under the impression he was the one that had gotten sNora Gaxiola pregnant. Lety says true. Sara goes on to tell her daughter that obviously she was wrong, because she can see now that Sergio is a good guy and obviously a good friend and you have to value and keep good friends because they are hard to find. Lety says her mom is so right, Sergio is a good friend to her and always taken care of her and supported her.

Ding Dong, Ding dong! Mario's very nice and smooth sounding doorbell alerts him has a visitor. Hmm who could it be? Why lookie there..it's Magda. Can I come in? I don't know what for. Because we need to talk she says (Let's hope it's not about Ricardo again). He lets her in. She tells him he has no idea how bad her night was and he tells her it can't have been worse than his. It was sad to discover that the woman he loves, thinks morning, noon and night about another man. Magda tells Mario to please not say that, while it's true that Ricardo has caused her to lose control again, that doesn't mean she is interested in him and much less that she still loves him. Mario says the facts/her actions show the opposite. You really don't believe me? Magda asks. You seriously don't know that it's you I'm in love with and that you're the man I want to start my life with? Mario says supposing that's true, he's not so sure anymore that he's the man who can make her happy. He's been thinking a lot and he feels they should cancel the wedding. Magda says please don't say that, don't you abandon me too. Don't you realize that the one who is dying of fear is me? Mario tells her he's afraid that at the last minute she's going to regret it. Magda tells him to stop being foolish, she wants more than anything to marry him and form a family together. This seems to get Mario's attention. A family? Magda says sure, she knows she's not some young thing, but she thinks she still has some time to become a mother, don't you think? She goes so far as to tell him that she has a gynecology appointment the next day to check if any cobwebs have started forming up in her uterus. Okay that was mean..but anyway, Mario says well with that promise, he would be crazy to let her go.

Ding! Another door bell ringing but this time we see who is on the porch! It's Al and on the other side opening? It's Sara! Oh hey Alonso! Hola, I was just you know ..hanging around and well I didn't want to go to my house, so I thought I'd see how you were? Sara has her dream man on the porch and well what's a girl to do..invite him in of course. Al does one better though, he invites the lady to go with him to din-din! You and me..alone? Al says yes, he has something to discuss with her and he wanted to do it some place nice but if she has other plans or with her daughter he understands. Sara is not about to let a gift like this from the Virgencita pass. Oh no..I was about to eat alone, because Lety went out and most likely won't be home until late. Al is beaming!

Ding! Dong! Raf opens the door…it's Lucia who is obviously running late. She thinks he must be furious but the one who is pressed is Rafi. It turns out Marcelo is not home! Lucia says how can that be when he's not in any condition to be out running around. Yeah, well when your boyfriend gets foolish, God the father can't get him to see reason. It turns out our Marcelo has gone to see his mother about….Lucia's tia! Uh-oh.

Speaking of ding dongs and not the kind that ring, we see the ding dong whine-nelia escorting Marcelo into Milli's apartment. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in bed? Marcelo says he needs to speak to his mother. Well here you have me, answers Mili who is in the kitchen. Whine-nelia can't catch a clue and Marcelo tells her to beat it. She's not happy and says she was leaving anyway. Mili thinks it's something that her son was so worried that he felt the need to come especially in his condition. Marcelo knows that she was very upset yesterday and he thinks it's very important that they talk. Mili says of course she was upset, and she hopes he came to give her the name of that worthless unfortunate woman who killed your brother. Marcelo says ok, well let's make a deal. I'll tell you everything I know about the woman that my brother was tangled up with. In return Mili has to come clean with all the information she has on the woman that Marcelo's father was going to leave her for. How does that sound? Deal? Or is there something that you and Rafi want to hide that you don't want to talk about? Mili is caught and not happy! Marcelo says it's obvious they're both hiding something regarding the death of his father. Mili thinks he's sick in the head, she doesn't know where he gets these ideas. Marcelo says it's his intuition. Mili says well it's wrong and what does his brother's murder have to do with his father's querida! Marcelo's says they have nothing to do with each other, but he wants her to tell him what he wants to know the same way she wants him to tell her what she wants. Marcelo wants to know everything about that woman. Who was she? What is her name and where can I find her? Mili is backed into a corner, why? What are you going to do..go look for her? Marcelo says possibly, because he's sure that woman clear up many things regarding his father. Mili says well you aren't blackmailing me, you idiot boy! Marcelo says that's not what it is, all he wants is for them to be frank with each other. Mili has had enough and she tells Marcelo to leave. Do me the favor of getting out of my sight. Get out I said! He does as his mother says but tells her when she is read to talk calmly to let him know. After she hears the door shut, she throws her cup to the floor!

Buzz…buzz! I'm coming! Sweet Sergio has a visitor to his bachelor pad and it's Lety-me-in without asking me. She comes in like a gust of hot wind with her mouth open and sucking up all of the fresh air that is in the room. Blah bah blah..you're busy with Rodrigo, but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to ask for your forgiveness. She begins telling him he was right when a female voice and footsteps come down his stairs. It's Glo-whoria! Hey Lety, what are you doing here? Lety is embarrassed and tells Sergio she didn't know he had company she rushes out and tells him she'll see him at work tomorrow. Sergio tries to stop her but it's too late. Glo wonders what bit her, does she have something for you too? Sergio says no, Lety has other interests. Glo says well by the look on her face, she didn't like seeing me here. Sergio clearly is confused too by what happened and tells Glo it's time for her to get lost. He doesn't want to be disrespectful to her but he's got to prepare for Rod's case tomorrow. She's still obviously hung up on Sergio because she's all gooey eyed when she tells him she just came by to see how he things were going with his friend. When he has time she wants him to call her or write her if he wants, don’t forget about her. She gives him a kiss on the cheek before leaving. She's left her info on his chalkboard wall and tells him not to erase it. Umm. pretty sure that will be erased soon. So go Glo!

Tere and Lalo cuties that they are, are walking and eating some ice cream. Tere says Lalo better not think she didn't realize that he didn't take communion, follow the mass or even recite the our father. Lalo confesses that he's not religious. Tere says that's clear. Lalo says that doesn't mean he's a bad person she can check his references with Don Nazario. Tere says she already checked them with Lucia. Lalo is confident that she said good things, otherwise she wouldn't have accepted to go out with him. Tere tells him how he behaves will determine if he gets a second date. She then says he has her walking around and nothing to eat. Lalo says there's a solution for that, what would she like to eat? Tere says whatever but it has to be soon because she feels like her pressure (blood sugar) is dropping. Well what about the frozen? Tere says this was just a snack. Lalo says he's going to take her to eat at a place where they make the best enchiladas! Right then she spots Lety and wonders why she's out here and all alone. Lalo says well he can find out, in the mean time she can have his frozen so her blood pressure doesn't drop. Tere says she's going to get stopped up.

Lety's cray cray is not as bad as sNora's who paces in her room asking herself What do I do? What do I do? She comes up with something, probably not healthy or good and heads out. Where are you going? Asks Rebecca the hall patrol. Out to see a friend. Have you seen your father? No sNora says and if you don't know where he went it's because he doesn't want you to know. Oh yeah..sorry you're going to eat alone. Bye! This is what happens when you raise a kid who is your mini-me Rebecca, you get a taste of what it's like to be on the receiving end of you. A cold blooded bitch.

Al has given all the deets about Ricardo ditching Magda for Rebecca, to Sara but Al isn't sure what he believes. He needs Sara to help him figure it out She wonders how she could help. Al points out that during that time she was also involved with Ricardo, so does she remember anything during that time that might have indicated there was something between him and Rebecca. Sara doesn't remember but with Ricardo you could expect anything. So does that mean what Ricardo said about Rebecca could be true? Sara doesn't know she wouldn't dare to accuse anyone of anything without clear proof including his wife. Al doesn't know what to think anymore about his wife, what she's shown him is that she's someone very different than what he thought. Could it be that you're looking for an excuse to separate from her? Al says no, he doesn't need an excuse, if he hasn't terminated his relationship with Rebecca, it's only because of sNora. He's worried about her precarious emotional instability. Al says that his separation is going to happen sooner or later. His phone begins ringing…and after looking at it, he turns it off and asks Sara if she'd like more wine. She says yes, and it's obvious she knows who that was and doesn't care if he doesn't care. Get your groove back Sara! Meanwhile Rebecca is losing hers all over the place. She tries to blow up Al's phone but she gets the message that it's off or out of the range of service. Close..the truth is that Al and his phone are only receiving static in her area. So it's now picking up strong signals by Sara's area! *snap-snap*

Lucia tells Marcelo she's calm knowing that Mili still doesn't know anything, though she's aware it's only for a short time, because sooner or later she's going to find out. Marcelo said he made it clear to his mother that he's not going to tell her a thing until she tells him what he wants to know. Lucia knows that this thing with his father is something very important to Marcelo but she doesn't understand what's going on. Marcelo says he isn't sure himself what he's trying to find out; all he knows is that something serious happened between them. He doesn't think it was just that his father was going to leave his mother before he died. This is news to Lucia, she thought Marcelo's parents were a couple up until the day his father died. Marcelo thought the same thing, but what he's telling her he just found out recently and he's sure his mother his hiding something more. Could these just be your suppositions? No, he spoke to her today and you should have seen her face when I was questioning her. Lucia says well maybe it was how you put it, because you don't stop talking about it. Marcelo says maybe they should just change the subject. Lucia says yes, because what she needs to tell him isn't very nice. sNora found out we're getting married and ..she went cuh-razy! Marcelo isn't thrilled but says sooner or later she's going to have to accept it. Yes, that's the same thing Roman told me. Who's Roman? sNora's psychiatrist, I told you. Oh Roman *sniff* hmm..well you sure talk about him a lot lately and with so much familiarity. Lucia says well that's his name Roman Andrade. Andrade? Yes, and if I talk about him, it's because he went to the house to see sNora. Marcelo pouts a bit and Lucia teases him about his jealousy. Don't be like that. *kiss-kiss* The passion is too much, because suddenly Marcelo is in pain and bleeding from his wound. She panics and yells for Rafaela.

Brigi waits as the young detective examines the things she brought Rod, clean clothes and something to eat. He gives the okay and she passes them through the bars to her son. It's painful for Brigi and she tearfully tells her son she can't imagine the trash they give her son in here. The truth is I haven't been hungry mom, but thank you. She tells Rod that he'll see that very soon this nightmare will be over, his father is moving heaven and earth to get him free and that's why he's not there, because he's working on it. Rod she can tell Amador to stop looking because he doesn't want his help. Sergio is doing it and he can do it alone. Brigi says she's offended to by what Amador did but this isn't the time to refuse his help, his father is obligated to get him out of this problem. Rod says he doesn't think he's getting out of there. Brigi says don't say that dear, you'll see that you will, don't lose faith. Time is up and the detective tells her she has to go. Rod says a tender goodbye to his mother. Nosy and all, but she's there for her boy through good times and bad. Rod sits on his bunk, tears in his eyes.

sNora pulls up to Rod's house in her little red car. She rings the bell several times and then yells for him. No answer. She then yells for the maid, Esperanza. No answer. Finally, for Brigida. No answer. She whips out her cell and dials Rod. She gets his voice mail message but chooses not to leave one. Where the hell are you?

Whine-nelia has come to the public ministry and she crosses paths with mama bear Brigi who gives her a bitch slap she deserves. What is the matter with you? Because of you my son is in this dirty place, because of you he's going to be condemned for something he didn't do. Whine-nelia says tell it to the police, because she doesn't care. Brigi says wait..please! Oh the lady knows how to say please? Brigi throws her dignity at Whine-nelia's feet. Please help my son. Whiney says she's not a lawyer and she doesn't know how she could help. Brigi tells the brat to say she was mistaken, that she didn't see Rod in her cousin's apartment. I'm sorry but I'm not going to lie. Brigi says it's obvious Whine-nelia isn't a mother and she leaves. She tells Detective J a bit later that if the reason he called her was to let her know that Rodrigo was jailed she already knows. Detective J says no he has some questions for her. The suspect says he left the apartment right after he saw you there, do you know if this is true? Whiney says truthfully she left them there in the middle of the entry way but in thinking more about it based on what she saw, if there had been any thing bad between them Ligia wouldn’t have let him in. Detective J is frustrated now. So now you aren't sure he's the one who killed her? Whiney says all she saw was the two of them arrive together, she doesn't know if it was him or someone else who killed her cousin. It was a surprise to her that her cousin had a relationship with Rodrigo and for all she knows there were other men in her life. Detective J gets the feeling whiney is now defending Rod. I'm not defending anyone, but if he was the one that killed her, you would already have the proof in your hands right? Detective J says tomorrow Rod will be formally charged unless there is something that can free him.

Rafi read Marcelo for being a foolish moron and going out to see his mother. Meanwhile Lucia says she can't get a hold of his doctor. She's left three messages already Marcelo says. Lucia says she'll call Lety's mom, but Marcelo says it's Sunday, let the lady rest. Lety answers and says her mom isn't home, she gives Lucia her mom's cell number. Lety assumes it's her father, but Lucia says it's Marcelo, she'll tell her later. Lucia's relays the number to Rafi who writes it down. Meanwhile Sara and Al have had such a good time that they are now the only ones in the restaurant and time has passed as Sara notes on her cell phone clock. Al says that means nothing bad happened right? Sara not at all but it's probably time they go. Right then her phone rings and it's Lucia who tells her that Marcelo is bleeding and they can't locate his doctor. She says she'll be right over. Al asks what's up and she tells him, he offers to go with her.

sNora waits in her red car when she finally spots Brigi heading into her house. She tells Brigi she needs to see Rod, do you know where he is? Brigi says it's obvious she doesn't know. Know what? Brigi breaks into tears again. sNora asks her to tell her what's wrong. Hmm.

It's late evening now in Puebla and Sergio has gone to see his boss. He knows that Mario doesn't want to involve himself in the situation because Ligia was his secretary, but Rod is Sergio's friend and he has to help him. Mario respects Sergio's decision but Mario, can not and should not involve himself in this. Sergio says fine but can Mario at least recommend a penal/criminal lawyer. Are you sure you aren't being too unsure of yourself? Sergio says he's not unsure but the way things are he's not going to be able to handle the whole package. Mario says tell me, do you think your friend is innocent? No, I know he's innocent he's not capable of murdering anyone. This thing is really difficult. Mario says okay tomorrow I'll give you some information that I have in my office. Sergio is very grateful, good night!

Rod's got all the ladies today coming and going on his behalf and this time it's sNora. She comes in all Jessica Rabbit, full of sexy attitude. She drops her bag and tells Detective J, that she's Nora Gaxiola and she's there to tell them that Rodrigo didn't commit the crime they are accusing him. It wasn't him. And how do you know this? Because the night of the murder he was with me.

Do-hyun and Ri-jin’s faces are inches apart, and both wonder to themselves why their hearts are pounding — or in Ri-jin’s case, for whom. She tentatively asks, “Shin Se-gi?”

Do-hyun grips her shoulders and asks her if she’s still confused between them. “Shall I make it so that you’re not confused?” he offers. Agonizingly slowly, he leans in towards her, and she closes her eyes. Their pounding hearts get louder, and the moment before their lips fiiiinally touch, Do-hyun flops, breaking it up. Lol.

A beat later, Ri-jin snaps out of it and grabs his collar, face furious. He hastily apologizes. Since he shares his one heart with the other alters, he didn’t know who was reacting to her so he wanted to check —

“Why did you stop?!” She yells at him, and tells him to finish what he was doing because there’s something she needs to confirm too. He tries to backtrack, but she argues, “Even though I’m using my heart alone, it’s become confused!”

He’s utterly taken aback, and she carries on raging about him getting into her head. To finish things, she puckers up and goes for him. He pulls back and they end up on the floor…and enter Ri-on.

Seeing his sister wriggling on top of Do-hyun, he bawls for Mom.

Next thing we know, the family packs Do-hyun’s car full of food. Ri-jin hangs back, totally soused, while their guest is sent off. It’s uncomfortable, and the moment he’s out, the smiles turn to frowns and the family rounds on her.

Mom thinks she locked herself in the cellar on purpose to have her way with Do-hyun and chastises her for being unclassy, while Dad chides her falling for a pretty face too quickly. Ri-on’s parting shot is that she must be pretty embarrassed now the drink’s subsided. Her protestations of innocence go unheard.

Not far away, Do-hyun stops his car and tries to shake off what just happened. In the dog-house (ha), clinging to the family dog, Ri-jin wails in self-reproach.

Now home, Do-hyun ponders Ri-jin’s confession of her confused feelings. He faces his reflection and a growing smile takes hold. Aww. He heads out of the bathroom.

After he’s gone, the lights flicker and the room darkens. With that look in his eyes, the man now in front of the mirror is Se-gi.

The next morning, Do-hyun jolts awake in his bed. Relieved to still be himself, he sits up — and is immediately shocked by the words “KILL YOU” spray-painted on the facing wall. Getting out of bed, he’s met by a mess of empty liquor bottles and cigarettes all over the floor. The whole house is an angry wreck of broken furniture, the CCTV ripped to pieces. He’s spooked.

A voice greets him from behind — Se-gi’s. “While I wasn’t here, you turned the house into a prison.” From a video, Se-gi faces Do-hyun. He’s angry that Do-hyun stole away his happiest time. For someone who’s such a coward, how did Do-hyun dare to kiss his girl? Se-gi issues a warning: If Do-hyun messes with his girl, Se-gi will mess with Do-hyun’s. He holds a photo of Chae-yeon to the camera.

Chae-yeon’s phone rings while she sleeps, waking up Ki-joon, next to her. He checks her phone, and seeing it’s Do-hyun, takes it out of the room. Before he can say anything, Do-hyun launches into worried questions about her safety, but is relieved once he hears hyung was with her last night. He thanks Ki-joon profusely, and asks for a favor.

Now awake, Chae-yeon asks who it was. When she’s anxious for more about his cousin, he tells her Do-hyun asked him never to leave her alone. “I almost cried,” he adds dryly. She gets pettish at Do-hyun’s brotherly concern.

In his video, Se-gi rightly predicts everything Do-hyun probably just did, including calling Chae-yeon to confirm her safety. He reiterates his warning: Se-gi’s girl had better remain safe, if Do-hyun wants his girl to remain safe too.

Do-hyun tears down the screen in a rage, and Chief Ahn arrives just in time to hold him back from worse. Do-hyun says he’s thinking of taking a gamble.

Ri-jin lies in bed thinking about the near-kiss, which makes her writhe in humiliation. She’s interrupted by a call from Dr. Park (saved in her phone as as “Take a deep breath before answering”), who tells her to get her butt to the hospital.

Once there, Dr. Park tells her a VIP wants a home visit and specifically requested her. He shoves a confidentiality agreement at her, and the name at the bottom is… Shin Se-gi. She begs Dr. Park to assign someone else, but he doesn’t budge and bodily throws her out of his office.

Ri-jin is dropped off in front of his house. The red Ferrari in the driveway gives her flashbacks to her last trip in it, as well as other memories of that evening: the toys, Se-gi telling her to choose between them. The kiss. Him asking her to put Do-hyun to sleep. She’s about to turn tail when Dr. Seok’s words come back to her, telling her that avoiding Se-gi isn’t the answer.

With a sigh, she goes in.

She gasps at the state of his house. His back turned to her, she rants at him and asks if he’s going to ask her to put Do-hyun to sleep again. This gets his attention.

He faces her and remarks that she lied to him about Se-gi not asking that of her. Realizing now that he’s Do-hyun, she clarifies that Se-gi only asked that after she met Do-hyun. But why did he call her here under Se-gi’s name?

Do-hyun explains his test to see if she responded to Se-gi’s summons. Since the two of them seem to be closer than he thought, what if they worked together to put him to sleep? So he’s decided to get her on his side instead, and asks her to be his secret doctor.

Ri-jin tells Do-hyun she’s not qualified or experienced enough to treat him. The reason she is best qualified, Do-hyun counters, is because she’s the only person Se-gi has cooperated with. He wants her to persuade Se-gi to enter reintegration therapy in three months’ time, and guarantee Do-hyun’s safety until then.

She asks about the timeline, and he tells her he plans to go back to the U.S. then, after finishing what he has to do. She’s frustrated about being put into this position by the two of them and refuses.

Do-hyun’s answer to this setback is to call her boss and get him to process her leave. Problem solved, he informs her. She’s now unemployed, and he offers her a really good, well-paid job. She’s spitting mad.

Troubled by Ki-joon’s theory that Do-hyun must have a girlfriend, Chae-yeon arrives at his house in time to see Ri-jin leaving.

Alone, Do-hyun is lost in his memories of meeting Ri-jin, kissing her, her asking his name. His reverie is broken by Chief Ahn emerging from the control room (so he was there the whole time? Lol). He asks if Do-hyun’s strategy is to use Se-gi’s woman to get rid of him. No, says Do-hyun — it’s to protect her from him.

Chief Ahn also worries about Chae-yeon, but Do-hyun assures him that Ki-joon’s got her back. But Ri-jin’s situation is different. Even if Do-hyun avoids her, there’s nothing to stop Se-gi seeking her out. To protect both women and himself, he needs to keep her close enough — but not too close.

Chae-yeon phones Do-hyun demanding to be let in. He pretends he’s not home, but she calls him out on the lie.

So they head to a cafe, where Do-hyun sits opposite Chae-yeon, not meeting her eye. She asks if he’s struggling because he found out she and Ki-joon are engaged. Way to make it about you, lady. Do-hyun is rightly confused about why that should upset him, and she answers that it’s because she’s his first love. With a heart-tugging little smile, he muses that she knew, then. He reminds her of her contempt for him.

He allows that she was his first love, but he gave up as soon as he found out she had feelings for Ki-joon. Chae-yeon reminisces that he treasured a picture he once took of her secretly, and that he’s someone who cherishes her. Do-hyun, however, cuts her off. He points out that she doesn’t want to claim him, but also doesn’t want him to be with anyone else, so she’s just keeping him dangling. Without animosity, he tells her, “Stop doing that. It’s not fun anymore.” Agreed. He tells her not to come to him about this again.

Ri-jin and Dr. Seok dine together and she complains about Do-hyun’s high-handed tactics. He placates her that it’s just a break, not a firing. But her point is she didn’t choose it: “A selfish bastard is controlling my life!”

Who the hell is he, she asks — some kind of second-generation chaebol? Third, the doc tells her. Haha. That silences her for a second, and he expands on his Seungjin background and the group’s financial support of the hospital. But it doesn’t change her stand.

But Dr. Seok has something different in mind. Johns Hopkins offered a slot for one of his doctors to study there for a while, and he suggests she goes. He advises her to turn down Do-hyun’s proposal — and not to hate him too much.

Dr. Seok’s words follow her home, about how Do-hyun isn’t one to be suddenly selfish or unreasonable, and how he always takes responsibility. And how he’s afraid people will get hurt because of him, which makes Do-hyun worry and fight every single moment of his life. So if he’s asking for help, it’s because it’s the only way.

Ri-on works away at his manuscript, on a passage that sounds very much like it describes Ri-jin and Do-hyun: Two people are poised to unlock a Pandora’s box of memories that mustn’t be opened, which whispers at them to remember “that day, what happened between you and her.”

Ki-joon’s mom’s mind is on Min Seo-yeon’s alleged child. She asks her husband, what if that child was a boy? That would shake up the Seungjin succession and might hurt Ki-joon, but unperturbed Dad says they’ll find him first, then, and win him to their side.

Out of his window, Ri-on thinks he sees a specter. He starts sobbing with fear, “I think I killed too many people!” Ohmylols, Ri-on — how do you write frightening books when you’re such a scaredy cat? His specter is a zombie-like Ri-jin, and when he bumps into her inside, he practically wets himself. I think screaming runs in this family.

Over breakfast, Ri-jin tells the family she’s going to study abroad for six months. But if that’s good news, why did she wander around like a ghost, Dad asks. She’s forced to explain her chaebol job offer and Ri-on sums up her dilemma as having a rice cake in each hand and not knowing which to eat.

Ri-jin snaps that she wants to throw them both away and live freely, like she has so far. She asks for their opinions and they sweetly tell her it’s her choice to make.

It’s undercut later as each parent seeks her out to tell her what they really think: Mom wants her to stay and take the chaebol job, and Dad thinks she should go abroad. When Ri-on finds her, she jumps on him first: “I thought you all respect my decision!” Ri-on whimpers that he just wanted to take the dog out.

On their walk, Ri-on assumes the chaebol is an old man, and wonders aloud what he must want from her. For someone who doesn’t want treatment and has to keep his condition secret, it must be a lonely struggle. A doctor isn’t all a mentally ill person needs, he says. What he needs most is a friend — he probably doesn’t have anyone by his side right now, and doesn’t know how to ask for help or admit he’s struggling.

Ri-jin digests this and wonders if she should help him, then. Her choice, her brother says. Whichever it is, he’s proud of her and tells her to choose confidently. To himself, he adds that he’ll be behind her, ready with winged shoes to help her make an elegant escape should things get too hard.

Ki-joon has a staff meeting to discuss the making of an Omega-3 film. He wants to see the original manuscript, and tasks Do-hyun with tracking down the hidden writer. Do-hyun points out that he’s on a different job, but hyung doesn’t yield. It seems like he’s being set up to fail.

After the meeting, Ki-joon tells Do-hyun not to take it personally. Changing subject, he asks for Do-hyun’s opinion on hiring a company doctor from Kanghan, significantly adding that they’re renowned for their psychiatry unit — who was that doctor? Seok-something, was it?

Do-hyun retches in the bathroom, hyung’s words ringing in his head like a threat and mingling with Se-gi’s. He downs his meds.

Grandma Seo waits for him in his office. She has a picture of another chaebol group’s second daughter, and her intentions are clear. She scorns him for not understanding the political implications of inter-company marriages, and asks if he has any idea how much Seungjin stock Chae-yeon’s parents own. Since they announced their engagement, her side has to counter or be in a weaker position against Ki-joon’s parents.

Do-hyun apologizes and promises to do his best to consolidate her power, but he plans to return to the U.S. in three months. She asks if he has a woman there. He says nothing but his fingers twitch. She tells him not to even dream of it: “Your mother is enough disgrace for our family.” Nice.

Down in the wine cellar of Cha manor, the housekeeper ajumma urges Do-hyun’s mom to stop drinking. Mom spots a large teddy bear in a corner, and the ajumma tells her Do-hyun brought it. She wonders why her son would be there when he doesn’t drink, but when she hears it was the day Ki-joon’s mom came for dinner, she chases the woman away to clear up alone.

She picks up the teddy bear and sees the chalked picture below. In a quirk of memory, she sees the same drawing, this time on a bare concrete floor. Eyes wide, she’s afraid Do-hyun remembers “that child.” Mom knows?

Do-hyun still looks peaky and has had no word from Ri-jin. He asks Chief Ahn to set up a meeting with Omega’s main editor and also get him the novels. Then he heads off to rest.

On her hands and knees, Mom scrubs the chalk drawing off the floor, praying desperately that Do-hyun doesn’t remember — he must never remember that child.

Do-hyun sleeps. His memories, recent and older, warp and mix into a disturbed dream. Voices and faces fade in and out — Se-gi and Ri-jin, Chae-yeon and Ki-joon. In the scary playroom again, child Do-hyun is suddenly not alone: Ri-jin is there. She’s afraid of fire and basements, “But if I’m together with you, I think it won’t be scary.” They smile at each other.

Her dream-voice jolts him awake and his eyes change — green, this time. Someone new?

On her way to the hospital, Ri-jin tells Dr. Seok she’s decided to take up the study post. She dials Do-hyun next, to say goodbye. She turns down his job offer and tells him about going abroad. She thanks him and says meeting him wasn’t bad. When he doesn’t respond, she pauses to ask if he’s listening.

His voice floats out, “You’re running away, anyway, noona. In the end, Do-hyun hyung was abandoned by you, wasn’t he?” Ohhh interesting. She asks who he is.

“Me? Ahn Yo-sub. Age 17.” In glasses and plaid shirt, with a pair of headphones around his neck, he says Dr. Seok dubbed him “the suicidal one.” Ri-jin stops her car in a panic and demands his location.

Somewhere very high up, he’s busy spray-painting his dying message. “There’s no point living anymore. I’m fed up of being treated like a monster or a mutant,” he tells her. “Perhaps this sky will become my grave.” I know it’s not funny, but… the emo.

Ri-jin says he must have something to say if he’s leaving a message. She begs him to tell her where he is, and promises to listen to everything. He challenges her to guess, and gives her an hour to find him. “If you’re late by even one second, we will already have disappeared.” He hangs up.

His dying message is, literally, a work of art. Stylized portraits of each alter span a ledge, which Yo-sub walks across. Do-hyun, Se-gi, Perry, little Nana, himself. His twin sister, Yo-na, who hasn’t appeared yet — all feature.

The camera pans out behind him, revealing more portraits, and in big red letters across the rooftop, “KILL ME!!”

Yo-sub stands on the edge, and looks down. Putting his headphones on, he spreads out his arms, as if to fly. He extends one foot over the edge, and leans forward.
