Niranjan looks at him angrily. He holds out the rope before Omkar. Was Ganga right? Did you really try to run away? Why? There must be some reason or someone will not come looking for you like that. Omkar starts crying. Niranjan is surprised.

Omkar tells the elders that he had a loss in business. My partner ran away. Suman was unwell. I had to take a loan. Those people dint use to spare me anywhere. I don’t share my problems with anyone. I dint even share it with Suman. I couldn’t save her even after spending lacs of money. I was embarrassed so I couldn’t tell anyone. how could I tell you that your SIL is not capable enough to get his wife treated? I couldn’t make his wife happy and neither am I capable of giving a good life to my daughter. Amma ji tells him not to give up in life. He offers to help Omkar. I will do as much as I can. We don’t have to hide our faces from anyone. pay them back. We have to get Babli married too. OMkar refuses to take monetary help from his in-laws. I love my self respect. Omkar begins to go but Niranjan stops him. Take it as a loan. You can return it to me when you get money. Omkar agrees. I am only taking it as a loan. I will return it as soon as I get money. Amma ji also agrees with his condition. She is awed by his good characteristics. Omkar talks about something that is still left to be done. That girl was right. I want to apologize to her. Amma ji is not interested but he insists. They all go to talk to Ganga. She is sitting in a far corner.

I have hurt her so I want to apologize to her alone. Madhvi is tensed but Niranjan nods. Omkar walks up to her all by himself. Niranjan tries to tell Niranjan that the entire situation looks weird to her. I don’t like it so much with the way you are ready to help Omkar ji. He knows that she has never stopped him for helping anyone. why are you stopping me to help Bhai sahab? Madhvi cannot give him any definite answer. Niranjan feels that omkar is changing. He is going to apologize to the girl he used to hate.

Omkar glares at Ganga. He holds her by her shoulders very tightly and pins her to a wall. She tries to break free but he holds her tight. You are trying to ruin me? You are trying to ruin my game? I was ignoring all your rubbish till now but I wont spare you if you don’t back off from my way. She refuses to be scared. My Bappa used to say that honest people never lie or get scared. Babu stood his ground before the goons while you ran away. You are not brave enough. He too continues to threaten her. I have seen many like you but you would not have ever come across anyone like me. I am warning you. You have no idea what you are getting into! It will be better if you stay out of my way! He walks off.

Next morning, Niranjan writes a cheque for Omkar. Omkar will be able to pay one instalment with this much amount. We will see the rest later. You will have to take it back for sure. I will pay it back as soon as my work resumes. Niranjan nods. Omkar goes to drop the cheque in bank when Madhvi ask niranjan if he will not register a case. Niranjan says the issue is clear now. What’s the point of doing it now? Omkar agrees. He goes out of the room.

Ganga complains to maid as she hasn’t washed it nicely. She asks for Maharaj ji’s help in ironing her saree. Maid asks her where is she going today. Ganga is excited to go to Sagar’s school today to see his play. Maid again calls her maid but Ganga tells her that she is Sagar’s friend. This is why he got an extra ticket especially for me. Maharaj ji asks her if she is sure the extra ticket is for her. Ganga affirms. There cannot be anyone else. Omkar smirks hearing the same.

Madhvi gets Sagar ready. He asks her about the goons who had come yesterday. Did Fufa ji really ran away from them? She suggests him not to talk in others’ matters. She goes to see if Niranjan is ready or not. Omkar enters just then but she doesn’t even look at him or talk to him.

Omkar compliments Sagar on his look. Sagar excitedly says some of his dialogues before him. Omkar says I too wanted to see you on stage. But you only have 4 tickets. Sagar corrects him. I have 5 tickets. I was thinking of asking Ganga. Omkar instigates Sagar against bringing Ganga to his school. She doesn’t dress properly, talks weirdly. Will it not look weird if she will be sitting amidst all the big people? She is living on your family’s pity after all. Your friends will mock you. Sagar thinks and then agrees. My friends will surely mock me.

Ganga gets ready to go to Sagar’s school. She asks Amma ji if she is ready. I too am ready. I am also going to see Sagar’s play. Sagar has got that extra ticket for me only. Omkar comes to tell Amma ji that Sagar is asking him to accompany me. he has given his 5th invitation card to me. I cannot hurt him. I too will come along. Amma ji gets happy. Sagar loves you a lot. It is good that he gave that invitation to you. The elders leave. Sagar turns to Ganga. Fufa ji is our guest. We cannot leave him behind like this. don’t worry I will share everything with you once I am home. She gets sad. I would have loved it if you too would have come but only 5 people can come. He leaves.

Niranjan and everyone get ready to go. Niranjan wants Babli to come along but Omkar doesn’t want it. Amma ji says her alliance has been fixed so we should not take her to many places. They all leave. Babli heads upstairs.

Precap: Ganga defends Sagar. Amma ji and her SIL made Sagar change his mind. Maid asks her what she will do now. Ganga runs out of the house. Sagar forgets his dialogue in the middle of the play.

Maid taunts Ganga. You were so excited since morning. But now you are at home. Maharaj ji scolds her for troubling the little girl. Ganga defends Sagar. Amma ji and her SIL made Sagar change his mind. Sagar is not at fault. He is so good. Maid asks her what she will do now. Ganga runs out of the house. I will surely watch Sagar’s play. Maharaj ji is tensed for her. She will be really hurt one day. She doesn’t even listen to anyone else.

Everyone takes their seats in the school auditorium. Ganga too reaches Sagar’s school. She gets happy seeing kids coming wiht their parents. It is so beautifully decorated. The kids come in big cars. This was never the case with my school back in village. She hides behind a car when she notices a guard. She starts walking along with the car as it moves.

The play starts. Ganga looks at kids playing badminton. What game is this? It looks like fun. She notices lot many trophies kept in a big box. She begins to go towards it when she almost collides with two boys. They talk to her in English. They mock at her when she talks in hindi to them. Ganga goes upstairs. Kids stop Ganga from entering inside the auditorium as she doesn’t have a pass. She requests him but in vain. She gets another idea.

Amma ji gets up excitedly when Sagar appears on stage. Madhvi and Niranjan have to make her sit. They enjoy the play. Sagar is saying his dialogues really well.

Ganga reaches backstage. She too watches the Sagar. Prabha also claps excitedly when her son says a dialogue. Sagar forgets his dialogue in the middle of the play. Everyone gets tensed. Ganga says the dialogues in lower tones. Sagar can overhear her. He says them well. The play finishes off nicely. Everyone claps for the kids. Ganga too is happy.

Ganga congratulates Sagar for his performance. He gives no reply. Shruti too comes to call him. Sagar will announce best actor’s name now. He leaves with her. He refuses to acknowledge Ganga in front of Shruti. I don’t know her. Ganga wonders what has happened to Sagar. He dint even talk to me. Principal praises the play and all the participants. He announces Sagar’s name as the best actor. He was a little hesitant initially but then lived his role perfectly. Sagar’s family feels proud of their son’s achievement. Sagar thanks his teachers, principal, parents and Dadi. They have helped me a lot. I want to say a special thanks to a girl who has helped me a lot. I wouldn’t have been able to do my role nicely if she wasn’t there. She has helped me in studies too. She encourages me to study when I don’t do so. She is my best friend. Ganga thinks that Sagar is about to take her name before everyone but she is proved wrong. Sagar takes Shrutii’s name. Ganga is heartbroken. Sagar too notices her thus but he thanks Shruti once again for helping him in rehearsals.

Ganga sadly recalls Sagar’s words. Ganga is sitting in a corner when the Guard spots her. She thinks of the instances when he had given her the credit for making the crown and sword for him before his family members. She tries to break free but he drags her to the principal room. Tell him what did you come here to steal!

Guard brings Ganga to the Principal room. He and a lady teacher ask her a lot of questions. She takes Sagar’s name.

Sagar returns home. He shows his trophy to Babli. The family members are very proud of his acting and also of his scores in exams. Pulkit is not home yet. Niranjan wants to know his result.

Pulkit’s result is 40%. He is scared to go home. His friends suggest him to get a fake mark sheet. Pulkit initially calls it cheating but his friends assure him that it wont look fake. You will have to spend a little money though. Pulkit agrees in the end.

In his room, Sagar eyes the trophy sadly. He thinks of what all Ganga has done for him (how she has helped him before and during the play). I should show it to Ganga too. She helped me a lot. I dint get time to talk to her after the function. she will get happy to see it. He stops when he thinks of Omkar’s words. Fufa ji is right. Ganga is not our family member. I have already thanked her. why should I do anything else? I got the award because of my good acting, and not her!

Precap: Ganga holds Sagar’s hand. I want to talk to you. he shakes her hand off and walks away.

Just look at the skill with which she handles the gun, speaks in dulcet tones. How clever is the Fina scheme to have Gustavo take Cantu’s money then shoot him for her. I observed again that she talks a kind of baby talk when she says HE”S DEAD of Cantu and then again promises to meet Gustavo later but only in HELL. Her smile of pleasure is the most sincere ever to cross her face. She collects documents, daintily lifts the money bag and Cantu’s check in Gustavo’s pocket while she turns a slender ankle for us to admire as she steps over the dead bodies and finally gives a last adios to the two fools.

Regina and Gonzo make eyes at each other and sweet talk at the hospital. He assures her that the lawyers will take care of the divorcing Fina problem. Roberta pitches a fit when she finds Gonzo romantically kissing Regina’s hand. She loses no time hitting the shrill notes: all this time THIS has been ruining our family. Gonzo walks off to talk with his foul-mouthed daughter telling her to stop her insults of Regina. Then Dona Cata comes up to express her own irritation. Regina shouldn’t act shamefully like this and doesn’t deserve this life she is creating. Does she forget that she was the wife who was betrayed and now she is the betrayer? Gonzo tries to quiet Roberta who screams that this “old thing” is taking the place of her mother who is so terribly ill. He tells her as if she hasn’t heard it that Fina’s illness was all a trick. Roberta who often thinks only of money manages to blame him for ruining the business and risking losing all the money, all for fault of Regina Soberon. Mama Cata comes along the hallway to give Gonzo the next ugly earful about his bad behavior Some days you jus’ can’t get no respect no how.

Matilde, now permanently in giddy mode, assures Jero that she has the perfect way to get Renata back to the hacienda. She will make her keep her promise to be her madrina at the wedding if he will give her Renata ‘s phone number. He doesn’t think Renata will be coming back and she needs to find another madrina but Matilde won’t be defeated no hacer por vencida. (Shades of Andrecito and just as sweet.) I am really preferring the new Matilde.

Matt and Renata discuss that she is through forever with Jero and will not return. Matt thinks this is a good decision. He will take care of the investigation at the empressa while she can go be with Adriana. She discovered the base plot and he can take care of the follow up investigation. He realized how much he cares for Adriana when there was the possibility that she would die. He wonders if he gets his messy life cleared up if romance is possible. He wants Renata to promise that if he and she are to remain only friends that she at least won’t rush out and take up with another lover without first giving him a turn. She promises and rolls her eyes just a little.

Inez and Isidro are friendly toward the Gonzo and Regina who take the congratulations on their relationship but Regina adds they have so many pending issues to solve. Regina again prods Gonzo to talk with Renata whose unfriendliness really bothers her and she doesn’t want a repeat of her recent scene with Roberta.

Dona Cata comes in and finds Antonio inside her house, WARNING LIGHTS and sirens should be starting now, She tells him the bad news that Regina has said she doesn‘t want him or the house, kids and horse, (well she didn’t throw in the horse, I did) Dona Cata is the most disappointed but Antonio waxes toward popped veins in the head.

Selene walking with Roberta says she wants to ask a favor of Renata about Augustin whom she met the day of Renata’s wedding. My sister? She tells Roberta how hot in bed was this Augustin Duran. Roberta ironically says you slept with a man you just barely met?? Selene says yes, it’s what you always do. HA. Selene wants Roberta to help her find his address and contact data. Roberta says I can’t mess with Renata’s client. CLIENT? lights up Selene who just figured out how to contact him.

Renata is masked leaning over Adriana telling her she can’t wait until the day or moment she gets the news that Adriana has opened her eyes. She begs her to hang in. She mumbles a bit through the mask and then kisses Adriana through it.

Augie is conveniently waiting/lurking outside the ICU and receives Renata’s sincere hug. She is glad he is there and is still worried about Adriana who at least is going to live. He says after the jail and this accident I thought I would come right away when I heard your sad voice on the phone. She hugs him with great emotion and a few stifled sobs. He grins at his good luck. She thinks they could go talk at her auntie’s house and he asks about her uncle. No he won’t be there because he has moved out with Adriana. She starts to tell this

Jero is pitching a fit that Augie is free and will take advantage of the situation to get Renata to reject Jero. Carlos listens while Jero steams that Augie will do anything under the sun to prejudice Renata against him to promote his own quest of her.

Alfonsina and her beautiful son discuss that she has to leave when his Dad comes home. Smart little boy reasons that now that Dr. Nasty is in prison, why can’t she stay home with him and help him with his homework. What ever you don’t get your papa will explain to you. Ezek walks in expecting her to leave but the boy begs her to stay. The smart kid begs them he wants his parents together; Exek says they can’t live under the same roof. When the boy begs again, Exek pulls just a little emotional blackmail saying don’t insist because if you do I will ask your mother not to come at all. The kid is appropriately cowed, Alfonsina also asks him not to insist, kisses him as she leaves. The boy looks defeated but disgusted and walks out of the room leaving Exek looking just a little guilty for his words. He isn’t feeling bad enough to take back his mean spirited words.

Manuela advises Kari that her eyes are going to give out if she embroiders at night. Kari says the embroidery business isn’t making her a millionaire (my observation) yet but she also counsels her that regarding Lazaro, if she pardons who has offended her perhaps the ones she has offended will forgive her.

Fina comes in with her bag of money, even talks civilly to the maid for a change, goes into the office and opens the small safe putting in all the money from her gym bag. Is this Gonzo’s office that might hold evidence now? Fina seems to be cooking with gas now. Looks at the evidence report from plucked from Cantu’s dead fingers: Roberta Alverez, daughter of Josefina Alvaresz, she reads aloud. She rips it apart. then sees the picture of little Regina and says you should be glad I changed your name Regina is a disgusting name (asquerosa.) Iccckkkl. She looks at a picture of her younger self and goes how lovely.

Roberta walks in that carp about where has her mother been, then that Matias and Gonzo have gone both left the house and her dad was at the hospital oh yeah Adriana is hurt, and most awful pappy was kissing the hand of Regina all romantic in front of everyone. Fina assures her that her papa is going to pay for his decision. Fina has plans.

Gonzo tells Regina over dinner that he is glad she chose him and Fina had no illness. It was all a trick between Fina and her doctor to try to keep him from leaving her. She says she isn’t the first woman to play tricks to keep her man. He does not feel bad or guilty to be leaving Fina. Regina is sorry for Antonio . Gonzo says Antonio is a man of his word and honor. She asks Gonzo again to fix things so she can talk to Renata.

Roberta tries to flirt with Matias on the stairs near the eggs. (Speaking of dinosaur eggs, did I thank the telenovela gods that I didn’t have to report on Blanca tonight?) She wants to give him a massage to make him feel better She says he feels lonely and so does she so they could console each other. He is tired of her tricks and lies about the pregnancy and everything. He is ready to proceed with a divorce, with no child coming there is no reason to continue pretending to be together. Undaunted by truth, she says now you don’t know me and you could get to better. I want to change the horrible impression you have of me. She offers that they could go somewhere else away from this place and start over. He doesn’t want to know any more about her.

Constanza and Honorio are in the Adri/ Hon apartment and for some reason he is in his jammies. She is there to help him and cares and offers to be the one to be at the hospital for so many days to care for Adri. She would love to take care of her. He has missed her so but is still sad that his actions drove her to have an affair with Chema. She decides to leave instead of straightening out this misinformation. They both looks sorry, she crises outside the door that its too bad that he thinks she could actually betray him with Chema or anyone.

Matt remembers Roberta saying what a shame you have a bad impression of me and he decides he has gone far enough with this face and takes off his wedding ring.

Speaking of dreamy blue-eyed devils, Chema comes into the club kissing his way through a line of gorgeous women even bussing Selene who slings more insults about his old hag. He is appropriately insulted saying he just came in to relax with a drink. She tells him what a hot handsome number she has conquered and he leaves to drink in peace wishing her luck with her conquest.

Augie and Renata talk over dinner and he tells her that Jero came for Gitana. Surprised she questions, he came for my mare. They talk about Augie’s favorite theme these days, is she about to file the divorce papers .Augie plays a subtler game than usual while Jero in split screen repeats his lament about Renata and love. Consta comes in to greet Aug and Renata. Consta is dead tired and goes to her room. Augie takes a hint and rises to leave. Renata asks if he will be in town for a few days or needs to get back, he is there exactly the moment she needs him and for as long, he assures her. He is looking at the only thing he is interested in. Renata is quick to tell him one more time that she can’t reciprocate. He leaves and Renata asks the Jero in her head how can she stop her feelings for him. He splits the screen, saying please Renata, don’t forget about me. She has him in her hands and hopes he is in her sentiments. Triad split with the scantily topped Marina who is enchanted that she has had the luck to find Jero here when she never thought to see him again.

Gonzo tells Regina not to worry about him. He is not going to his house but a hotel for now. She explains that she can’t invite him to stay with her for respect for her mother. He wants to buy her a house that they can be in but with all the problems in the business he isn’t sure when. She asks if it is really awful. We’ll get through it, he assures her. He is being so romantic about just spending the evening with her when Antonio becomes the lurker jumping out of the bushes saying what kind of betrayal is this. She says I never said I loved you. He accuses both of them of not keeping the promises to guard Regina but there wasn’t supposed to be a choice that wasn’t him. But you accepted my ring he whines. He keeps talking about the promise she has broken but won’t answer her continued question, what promise?

Selene becomes the lurker in Augie’s hotel room with a drink in hand and immediately says she is sorry he was in the jail, as she undresses him to make him feel better while she blows off his questions about how she found him. My question is how does this little minx get into hotel rooms like this.

Gonzo says you have no right to tell Regina and I what to do. Antonio continues his no fair, no fair speech (whine) They are going behind his back. Regina tries to remind him that before she accepted Gonzo she returned his ring and told him she didn’t love him and didn’t plan to marry hlm ever. He goes off mad, and Regina is sorry and worried that he went off with so much anger. She is sorry that she has to say good night to Gonzo. He likes it even less but pretty soon they won’t have to be separated. He looks happy and handsome long after she goes inside.

Regina walks in to her living room where Cata is lurking, ready to carp at Regina who resents being treated like an adolescent Well if you act like one I will treat lyou like one. (Let’s see Regina must be 40 something?) Antonio was here and I told him about Gonzo and your betrayal. Now I understand why Antonio was lurking outside, says Regina. Regina says I feel sorry about Antonio’s pain but I don’t feel shame.

Back at the hospital we hear the doctor tell Hon, Con and Renata that Adriana is ready to come out of ICU into her own room. Renata gives him a kiss. She needs a lot of therapy and needs to be kept immobile He tells them she is a lucky girl, that the consequences could have been fatal they all go off to see Adriana’s new hospital room.

Mattias has to explain to Roberta again that his packed bags mean he is leaving. He thinks she can stay here with her mother but he can’t and especially since his father is gone. She can’t believe he is leaving her in this house of horrors when she is so depressed. He says if you are depressed you should start thinking of what you did to get your self here.

Mom Fina sees Mat leave and Roberta sniffs he abandoned me. Now what brilliant idea are you going to come up with next to fix this, whaaaaa

Selene stays the night wakes up (so prepared she has her own little negligee set) ready to jump Augie again who is clean and not wanting to smell differently. He clearly doesn’t like her clingy plans. He says if this is going to last , no one can know about us. Well maybe Roberta she says, we talk about everything, well almost everything. He picks up the Roberta theme and asks if she knew about Roberta and Rafa and did she think Roberta would have killed Rafa? Then she slips that Roberta would never kill the man whose child she was going to have. Augie jumps quick to work out the facts and Selene realizes the gaff but Augie is much faster and covers her with kisses on her neck which prompts her to spill not only was the baby Rafa’s but Roberta and Jero never even had sex. That story was only to f**k with Renata. Augie is suave and continues kissing so she will tell all. Then he realizes that he has the high cards in this hand and will beat Jero who thinks he will get Renata back. Ha, I think we can assume the he is not giving these post coital revelations to share with Renata any time soon. He now knows how to proceed to torture Jero with the upper hand.

Next Capitulo: Augie moves ahead with influencing Renata, we can assume he will boink Selene to keep himself calm and plot his next moves. Jero is not looking too satisfied and asks Renata if she still loves him, she assures him she does but note that she is on a phone in DF saying it.

Nora picks up her mother’s cellphone, only to hear Ricardo coo on the other end of the line: “Hello, my love! Haven’t you missed me?” The Gaxiola girls need to stop answering teléfonos ajenos/other people’s phones. Nothing good can come out of that. “Who’s speaking?” “Isn’t this the cellphone of Mrs. Rebeca Murillo?” “Yes, I’m her daughter. Who the devil are you?” I’m the devil person who’s calling your mother’s private phone. Why the devil are YOU answering? Ricardo hangs up without saying anything. Rebeca barges in, panicked, and tries to snatch her phone from Nora’s hands. Whora Minor demands to know who the heck is the guy who called Whora Major, her progenitor and mentor in all things hoe-related. “Why is he calling you ‘my love’ and why is it that you’re supposed to be missing him? Answer me! Don’t just stand there silent!” Rebeca reckons it’s a wrong number. Nora isn’t falling for this. The dude asked for her mother by name! Besides, why did Rebeca try to snatch the phone away? Surely this isn’t the first time that this guy calls. Rebeca is indignant at being the subject of her daughter’s suspicions. She affirms that she is not cheating on Nora’s father. The cheater in this house is him not her! Someone is doing this to harm and slander her (perjudicar), on the off chance that her daughter or her husband answer her cellphone. This is the handy work of either Sara Ezquerra or her spawn. They must have hired this mystery caller. Nora isn’t convinced: “Eso suena muy forzado. This sounds very contrived.” Rebeca tries another avenue: “Don’t you think that if I had someone who loved me, I wouldn’t be here putting up with the humiliations of your father?” Mmm. Yeah. I guess you have a point, Mommy Hoerest. You have as much dignity as I do.

Mario is at the fábrica/factory to discuss Amador’s terms for the dissolution of the partnership, but Alonso is distracted by his personal problems. He is eager to divorce Rebeca but he can’t do it: “Nora me tiene agarrado del cuello para que no lo haga. She wants Dr. Andrade to be prepared for the storm that’s heading Nora’s way but she refuses to reveal any further details. However, she does have a bone to pick with him for prescribing (recetar) tranquilizers to an unstable nutter. Dr. Andrade assures her he prescribed no such drugs to Nora.

At Casa Treviño, Nazario is talking to the photo frame of his Trini when Marcelo shows up. Confused Curls wants to talk.

Rebeca meets Ricardo at a busy restaurant. So much for plausible deniability! Ricardo apologizes for his “clumsiness” (torpeza) the last time they met, when he sexually assaulted her, and promises he’ll wait until she decides to boink him of her own accord (por motu propio). Don’t hold your breath there, antsy pants! Get to the point of this meeting, will ya? Ricardo gets right down to it: He needs money. Rebeca mocks him for not having a penny to his name (no tener donde caerse muerto. Literally “To not have where to drop dead”) and for living on borrowed money (vivir de prestado) at his age. “Let’s just say I made some bad investments.” He gives her a piece of paper where he wrote down his bank account number and the sum he wants her to deposit. Moreover, he reminds her that he has already given her a little taste of the damage he could inflict on her life, so she’d better loosen those purse strings pronto.

Back at Casa Treviño, Nazario is feigning interest for Marcelo’s favorite topic of conversation: To tell or not to tell. That is the annoying question. This rehash scene was brought to you by Lala Milk.

At Casa Gaxiola, Tere finds a pill on the floor while tidying up Nora’s room, and she puts it in the pocket of her apron. Rebeca comes in and asks about Nora. She has gone out but Tere doesn’t know where to. Rebeca orders Tere to keep her mouth shut. She’d better not go blabbing about this to Alonso or Lucía.

Sara calls Alonso to check on Nora’s health. She tells him it is important that he be with his family these days. The doorbell rings and who it is but Suicide Sally ordering Sara to stay away from her father and to stop harassing her mother on the phone. She finishes her tirade and gets going. On her way out, she bumps into Ricardo who assumes she is one of his daughter’s friends. Nora disdainfully replies that she is no friend of anyone who lives in this house. Ricardo asks to speak with Sara. Five minutes is all he asks. He wants her to convince Lety to accept him as her father. How can she accept you after years of absence? It’s an absence you caused because you never told me I had a daughter! Lety doesn’t need you and doesn’t want anything to do with you! Why don’t you let Lety decide? The blame ping-pong then veers off to dangerous territory. Ricardo insinuates that Lety will need her father now more than ever since Sara is moving on with her life. He just hopes the guy is worth it. OK, your five minutes are up, so why don’t you kindly get the heck out of my house because MY daughter will be home soon? Your daughter or your lover? Pish aff, Ricardo!

Lucía is back at Casa Gaxiola. Everybody has already had their dinner but Tere offers to heat up a plate for her right away. Lucía declines. She only wants a glass of milk, preferably of the Lala persuasion. Tere shows her the pill she found near Nora’s bed.

Nora is also back home. Rebeca is not pleased that she went out when she is supposed to be unwell and bed-ridden. Nora says she went to see Sara Ezquerra to confront her about what she did to her mother. Rebeca thinks this was ill-advised and could prove counterproductive. Alonso won’t believe any of it and that woman will deny everything, anyway. Nevertheless, Nora feels her visit to Casa Ezquerra was not in vain. She has learnt a juicy piece of gossip: The insufferable (insufrible) Lety Ezquerra has a father. Or maybe the guy was there to see Sara and he invented he was Lety’s father for Nora’s benefit.

The next morning, Marcelo receives a hero’s welcome at the fábrica. He thanks Vinicio for helping him the night he was attacked. Lalo is adamant that the two-timing nightwatchman had something to do with Marcelo’s assault.

At Casa Gaxiola, Lucía awaits in Nora’s room. She tells her little sister that she is worried about her health, both physical and mental. Nora poo-poos that sisterly concern. Lucía changes gears and gets into crazy eyes mode. She shows her the pill Tere found and demands to know where she got it. Dr. Andrade never prescribed her any tranquilizers. No need to deny this because the pharmacy has confirmed to Lucía that the pill is a painkiller (analgésico). Nora lunges at her sister. Fight! Fight! Fight! Lucía quickly gets the upper hand and throws Nora on the bed. Lala Milk at work, folks. Gives you fighting power! Stronger bones and nails and headbutting abilities! Marcelo was right! This was all pretense to make Daddy feel bad! You and that mental case you call a mother devised this plan! Nora puts a pair of scissors to her neck and dares her sister to runteldat. Go ahead and rat me out to Daddy! I’ll prove to you that none of this is pretense! Lucía asks her to calm down. She won’t say anything to their father. A split second later, she manages to subdue Nora and take away the scissors. It’s that Lala Milk, I tell ya! Lucía says she’ll keep her mouth shut alright, because it’s Nora herself who’ll be doing the talking! Nora must go to Alonso and tell him that she regrets what she has done and that she has no objections to him divorcing her mother. Never! Especially not if Daddy gets together with that heffer! Lucía assures Nora that she’ll be the one to insist that their father move on with his life when she learns.... Learn what? Lucía holds her tongue. She just pleads with her little sister to please stop making things more difficult for Daddy. As if invoked, the rooster of this hen asylum comes in all smiles. He wants to check on his loony little chickadee. How is Nora feeling this morning? “Much better”, interjects Lucía. “In fact, she has something to tell you”. Nora hugs her father and cries.

At the fábrica, Marcelo is still on his “I Survived a Stabbing” victory lap. Normita welcomes him back to the office. He asks about Alonso. The boss is not here and Normita doubts he’ll come to work today. She is worried about his health. The man doesn’t complain but he’s not looking good and she’s afraid he might have another heart attack.

Back at Casa Gaxiola, Alonso is glad that Nora has realized she committed a mistake. She explains that she felt desperate when her dad announced he was leaving home. She felt abandoned and unloved. Alonso assures her that living somewhere else doesn’t change how he feels about her or how much he cares. He loves his youngest daughter with all his heart! Besides, one day she too will leave the house to live her life. Nora doubts it. The man she loves is going to marry her sister. Alonso maintains that some day, when she least expects it, a man will sweep her off her feet and will love her for who she is. Nora doesn’t share her father’s wild optimism. “Who would love a lunatic who has tried to kill herself twice?” “Darling, don’t say that! You’re not crazy! Forget what happened!” Besides, some men are really into loonies and you score rather well on the hot/crazy scale!

Mario has just hired Ligia’s replacement and antithesis. Alonso calls to ask that Mario file the divorce papers ASAP. Rebeca barges into Mario’s office. She swears she had nothing to do with Magdalena’s doomed wedding to Ricardo. “Remember, you an I were novios back then?” “No, we never were. I was courting you and you played with me for a while then ditched me. And I’m not throwing blame here. It’s been a long time ago.” Rebeca says she was very confused back then. Magdalena had just been jilted at the altar then Adriana died... “Then you got married to her husband!” adds Mario, eager to move the throwback Thursday chitchat along. “And I would still be happily married if it weren’t for that jerk who returned to fill my hubby’s head with venom!” Mario interrupts her: “I don’t understand what you’re doing here and why you’re telling me all these things.” Rebeca wants him to help her. She confides to him that Tricky Ricky has been blackmailing her since he got back to Puebla. She refused to give in to his threats and that’s why he’s been inventing these lies. “Why precisely you?” wonders Mario. Rebeca reckons maybe he  learnt that she was having problems with Alonso and he wanted to take advantage of the situation. “Sorry, Rebeca but this sounds very ‘elaborate’ and I don’t understand what you want me to do.” Rebeca shows him the note containing Ricardo’s bank account number and the sum he demands she give him. If she doesn’t deposit the money, he’ll invent other things about her. She pleads with Mario to find a legal means of ridding her of Ricardo.

Sara drops Lety off at work and tells her that her bio dad wants a relationship with her but the girl is not interested.

At Casa Zúñiga, they’re serving coffee, fruit and awkwardness; the breakfast of champions. Amador informs his wife that Rodrigo is living with his friend Sergio. She says she already knows, barely looking at him. “Why didn’t you tell me?” “Because Rodrigo doesn’t want you to know. He doesn’t want you to go looking for him.” “Don’t worry, he’ll be back home.” “He won’t return as long as you’re here! Perhaps you’re the one who ought to be leaving!” Amadiva loses his rag: “This is MY house! It’s the only thing I have left, goddammit!” He leaves the table in a huff. An innocent cup was harmed in the making of this tantrum. The housekeeper witnesses the scene and asks whether the lord and master will be having his breakfast. “What do you think?” snaps Brígida.

Lety TMZ introduces herself to the new secretary who asks to be addressed formally and refuses to reveal the identity of Mario’s current visitor. Rebeca bumps into Lety and learns that Tricky Ricky is the young woman’s father.

Lucía is with her aunt at the bridal shop. Magdalena thinks she looks ridiculous in her wedding gown. She looks good on the whole but there seems to be some weird white appendage sticking out of her corset. Lucía assures her that she looks amazing. While looking at herself in the mirror, Magdalena couldn’t help but think back to what happened to her with Ricardo. Oh, for the love of Crunchie! Give it a rest, woman! It’s been 25 years already! Lucía understands how her auntie feels. She went through the same thing a few months ago. However, thanks to their misfortune, aunt and niece have met wonderful men. Magdalena asks how Nora is taking all this. She swears she’ll do anything to stop the wedding. What about Marcelo’s ex-girlfriend? She’s having a hard time accepting that Marcelo has moved on with his life. Oh and by the way, Marcelo’s ex is Ligia’s cousin.

At the Harpies’ Nest, Daniela is indulging in a whinge fest. She is tired of being locked indoors, waiting for a miracle to happen that would bring Marcelo back to her. Milagros, the miracle worker, encourages her to keep her spirits up. Everything can be remedied, except for death. The Human Barnacle thinks this is what needs to happen to her. She needs to die so that her ordeal can end. Good bye, cruel world. If only! The viewers have been presenting offerings at the altar of every TN God for months, begging for the early demise of the Human Barnacle, to no avail. Rafaela is in the kitchen, drying the dishes and rolling her eyes. Milagros heads out to organize a religious service for Federico’s 5-month deathiversary. Rafaela tries to reason with the unreasonable brat. She advises Daniela to stop listening to Mother Terror’s ideas. She is only giving her false hopes. Marcelo is not the only man in the world. “There are many men out there who would love to be with a young woman like you. A woman who, not only is beautiful, but has many qualities as well.” Many qualities. Many! Plural! Wow! Rafaela blew up the baloney-meter on this one!

At the fábrica, Alonso shows Marcelo the agreement (convenio) that Amadiva proposed for the dissolution of their business partnership. Naturally, all the clauses (cláusulas) favor Amadiva. Alonso would like Marcelo to review the document meticulously (minuciosamente) before they can start haggling (regatear) again. Cool beans, boss! I’m on it! Alonso praises Marcelo for his integrity and honesty. He has always trusted him and he is happy that his daughter Lucía has a trustworthy man she can rely on if her dad were to pass on. Marcelo assures Alonso that this death talk is very premature. Besides, Marcelo feels he doesn’t deserve all this unconditional trust. He has committed many mistakes in the past. “What mistakes?” enquires Alonso. Normita interrupts. Marcelo has been saved by a long-distance call to Chile.

Nora reports back to her mother about what happened with Lucía this morning. Rebeca is hopping mad because her daughter has just given Alonso permission to leave her. Nora denies doing that. She didn’t explicitly give her father any such permission. “But you freed him of any sense of guilt!” This amounts to giving her blessing to her parents’ divorce! Rebeca feels she can’t rely on anyone. She will find a way to stop the divorce herself!

Back at the Harpies’ Nest, Daniela decides to heed Rafaela’s advice. So she calls Ricardo. *facepalm*

Nora ambushes Marcelo in his office. She tells him she missed him and she is glad he is recovered. Marcelo is happy she’s OK too. “I guess my sister told you that you hit the mark (acertar) with your guess about my attempted suicide?” “She didn’t but I’m not surprised. You’re a very sneaky girl (una niña mañosa)!” “And so is my sister!” She proceeds to tell him that Lucía has a new beau, Dr. Román Andrade, Nora’s psychiatrist. He is crazy about Lucía and she is not indifferent to his charms because they keep meeting up to “allegedly” talk bout Nora. Marcelo has heard enough. He walks to the door to show Nora out. Wrong move, buster! She blocks him against the wall and he’s too much of a gentleman softie to impose distance when she invades his personal space and starts rubbing up against him. She maintains that Lucía is playing him and that he’s too much of a fool to see it. Besides, the woman who truly loves you is yours truly! Nora tries to turn his face toward hers but he keeps looking away. “Don’t you dare, Nora!” orders Lucía, who has witnessed the last part of this exchange. Nora plants a wet one on Marcelo. “You’re just like your mother! You’re a hoe who doesn’t have the slightest scruple about offering herself up to whomever she have in front of her, Nora.” “Be careful with what you say!” “No, get ready! Because when I tell you what your mother did and with whom she cheated on our father, se te va a caer la cara de vergüenza, you’ll hang your head in shame, and you’ll never want to get close to Marcelo again!” Boom!
