One day I will become a big person. I will have everything, just like you and your friends have. He walks out of the room in a huff. She thinks that she will definitely do what Babu has asked her to.

Ganga walks around thinking that Babu will seriously send her to school if she writes this essay. Babu never lies. She recalls seeing the kids playing in Sagar’s school and how a few kids had laughed over her when she had spoken to them in Hindi. I will write it. I will study then. I too will start speaking fluent English like Sagar and his friends. I will play new games. I will become a princess in the drama and I will win every time. I have to write the essay before Babu returns!

Ganga is in the kitchen. She thinks and then writes. I only had Bappa in my family earlier but he too left me. Then I met a lot of many people. Babu, Bahu ji, Pulkit Bhaiya, Amma ji. She realises that she will have to write his name too. She writes Maharaj ji. Maharaj ji thinks that she is saying something to him btu she clears it to him that she is writing an essay on my family. you too are my family. he gets emotional. You think that I am your family too? She nods. If my Bappa had an elder brother then he would have been just like you. Amma ji calls out for Maharaj ji. Prabha is here. Bring sherbet for her. Maharaj ji asks Ganga if she will write about Prabha too. Ganga nods. I will write that she comes here and immediately asks for something to eat or drink. He smiles. Don’t write it or you will be scolded. He goes to give sherbet to Prabha.

Omkar is going to Gazipur to bring Suman’s jewels for Babli. They are her blessings for her daughter after all. I should give them to Babli on the right time. I will be back by evening. Amma ji wishes him happy journey. He leaves.

Amma ji is irked seeing Prabha munching on fruits. Ratan gets up to go. Amma ji tells him not to worry about her as she is in her own home after all. Yash too comes to the kitchen as he is hungry. Ganga asks him about it and he asks her what she is doing here. He snatches that notebook from her. Amma ji is very strict but sweet. Bahu ji is very simple. He calls her mad. You don’t know anything. She tells him that she knows everything. Go, let me write the essay. Babu had asked me to write an essay on my family. He reasons that family loves their members. Find out about all of them first and then write.

Prabha says what if this girl would have died. You all would have gotten into a big problem. This girl ate anything without even thinking. She got saved this time but what if she tries again. What will you say to police about her and her relations? Madhvi interrupts her. Amma ji too has been thinking on the same lines. Prabha tells her to throw Ganga out of the house. Why bear this problem? Amma ji agrees. I will talk to Niru once he is back from Allahabad. This is true that no one will be at peace till the time she is here. Ganga overhears their convo from behind a pillar. Yash points out to Ganga that he was right. Find out what they all think about you. Now you should write the essay. People are talking about throwing you out of the house and Madhvi Bua is listening quietly. Ganga says Bahu ji could have done / said something. What’s the need to be so quiet? Why was she standing quietly?

Ganga comes to the balcony and is all sad. Yash tells Ganga that he was right. No one is the way she thinks them to be. Everyone will throw you out one day. I will help you in writing. You should write – Dadi is very short tempered and Sagar is also not a good person. Madhvi Bua is not concerned about anyone else. Pulkit Bhaiya is so elder yet he is only concerned about himself. Niru Fufa ji doesn’t stay at home much. He accepts whatever Amma ji tells him. She shakes her head at this. He shares that Niru Fufa likes it when someone tells the truth. He will like it if you write it. He tells her to do it on her own then and leaves. She finds truth in the last line. She is in a fix. What should I write, that what I think or that what Yash was saying? I overheard Amma ji and Bahu ji’s convo. Bahu ji was all quiet before Amma ji. I cannot understand anything.

Madhvi tells the menu to Maharaj ji to cook for the dinner. Ratan wants to leave but Prabha insists. Omkar returns with a sad face. Amma ji notices his sad face. He starts his drama. I have lost my everything! It’s all over. Babli wont be able to get married now. My business partners stole Suman’s jewels and are absconding. They dint leave anything behind. It’s over. Everyone is taken aback. We worked together. We all had a key of the locker. I dint know they will betray my trust. The engagement is tomorrow. All the guests will be here. How will I face them? No, I wont let it happen. I will talk to them beforehand only. This marriage will not happen. Amma ji wants to think of some way out but he stays put. We cannot do anything now. Those goons will not bring them back. They were Babli’s mother’s blessings and my respect. How will I get into this now? It is good to break this relation or we will lose our respect before Babli’s would be in-laws. Amma ji suggests that Madhvi can give her jewels if it’s only about jewellery. Prabha tries to say something but Ratan stops her. Omkar asks Amma ji if she will give her DIL’s jewels to his daughter. This cannot happen. Amma ji insists. It is a DIL’s duty to help the family in the time of trouble. It is only about jewellery. If relation breaks before roka then it will be a disgrace for Babli. Madhvi will give them don’t worry. Omkar does his drama again and thanks her. Madhvi eyes him angrily. She goes to bring her jewellery so Omkar can choose which one to give to Babli. Madhvi leaves reluctantly. Amma ji too follows her upstairs.

Niru returns home. He finds Ganga standing in a corner holding the notebook in her hands. He calls out for her. she asks him why is he back so soon. He asks her if she is not happy. oh, you haven’t done the work I had given you. No problem, I will give you more time. I am back early. I will listen to it tonight. Go and complete it. He pats her head lovingly and leaves. Ganga is still thinking what to write. Babu wants to hear it tonight only!

Precap: Ganga reads the essay that she has written. She has written against Amma ji. Prabha adds fuel to the fire. In a way she has called you a witch!

Amma ji convinces Madhvi. You don’t trust Omkar? You think he wants to loot you of your jewels. You look at him pointedly all the time. Madhvi denies. Relations are way above jewellery and anything else but I want to consult Niranjan once. He enters just then. Amma ji tells him everything. I somehow convinced him. He was about to break the marriage. I asked Madhvi for help so Babli can be happy but she looks so heartbroken. Would she have not done it for her daughter? Niranjan asks Madhvi if something is troubling her. She cannot say anything in front of Amma ji. I don’t have any proof to prove it that I don’t trust Omkar at all. Niranjan cannot believe it that she is so attached to her jewellery. You dint have to ask me anything. Babli is like our daughter. Why would I say no? Right now, all I am concerned about is Babli’s happiness. We have got such a good match for her. How can we let it go? He goes to talk to Omkar.

Niranjan assures Omkar that the marriage will happen as he had wanted it to be. You must file a complaint against your partner. You should not let him get away like this. Omkar nods. I am so lucky to have a family like you. I am grateful to you and Amma ji. Niranjan tells him not to worry about Babli.

At night, Sagar, Yash, Pulkit and Babli are playing bluff. Pulkit is winning so easily. Ganga observes them. Pulkit Bhaiya lied? Babli explains that this is a game of lies. The one who lies will win eventually. We should do what we believe in! Sagar thinks of Ganga. Someone people have a habit of lying. You should not trust them. Ganga reasons that God watches everything from above. One day he will bring out the truth in open. He will prove it who is right or wrong. Yash is irked by her lecture!

Ganga mutters to herself. He called me a liar! Everyone is lying while playing. They are instead calling me a liar. Maid calls her a liar. You see everyone like yourself. Ganga makes it clear to her that she never lies! Maid leaves. Ganga thinks of her words. This means bad people find everyone bad. Now I know what I have to write. She writes down the essay.

Niranjan has brought gifts for everyone from Allahabad. They all smile that they can speak in English right now as Omkar is not here. Yash and Sagar ask for more chocolates. Yash lies that he has only got 2 chocolates. Niru points out that he keeps a tab on everything so he can find out if anyone is lying or not. Ganga comes there. Niru gives her a chocolate as well. Amma ji tries to say something but Ganga recalls it well that she cannot eat anything after sunset. Niru likes it. Ganga remembers everything that you tell her. Prabha says she speaks so smartly. Yash reminds Niru of the essay that Ganga was supposed to write. Niru holds out his hand to take the notebook. He makes her read it next. Ganga begins with the eldest member of the family – Amma ji. She is very bad and moody. She always scolds me. Everyone is taken aback. Sagar is also very mean. Bahu ji also doesn’t care about anyone. She keeps quiet even after listening to everyone. Pulkit Bhaiya is mad. He is only concerned about himself. Prabha adds fuel to the fire. In a way she has called you a witch! Amma ji scolds Ganga. You think those about those who gave you shelter? Sagar too is about to retort but Niru stops them. Have you (Ganga) written anything else? He takes the notebook. Amma ji regrets allowing him to keep Ganga here.

Niru reads further. This is what Yash thinks. Everyone turns to look at Yash. Yash is all tensed. Niru reads the rest of the essay. My Bappa used to say that people think the way they are. Maid also said that liars see everyone as liars only. This is why I dint listen to Yash. I only had Bappa earlier but he too went to God. I got a bigger family then. Babu, Bahu ji, Sagar, Pulkit Bhaiya, Amma ji, Maharaj ji, Maid! Amma ji is a little strict, scolds sometimes but she is just like coconut. Amma ji is surprised. Sagar is stubborn but has a good heart. He speaks out whatever is in his heart. Sagar thinks I am lying. No problem, I know that I am speaking truth! Niru looks at Sagar and then resumes reading. Sagar is not selfish. He gets angry at times even when the matter is of no consequence. He loves Bahu ji and Babu a lot, just the way I love my Bappa. Bahu ji is very nice. She is very beautiful too. I ask God if my Maiyya was just like her. Did she love me this much? Amma ji wipes her tears. Everyone is emotional. I am the only daughter of my Bappa but if I had a brother then he would have been just like Pulkit Bhaiya.

Precap: Niru reads, Yash says this family isn’t mine. But I know that this is indeed my family. Now this is my home. I will always live here. Ganga asks Babu if no one will ask her to leave this house. He opens his arms and she rushes to give him a warm hug.

WEDNESDAY ON TIMELESS LOVE - EPISODE 92

 The good Doctora Marina discovers that the e-vile Doc Do-Nothing is sterile! Bwahahaha!!

BSCBlanca visits Hons and gives him an ultimatum. Be her lover or his niece Renata will soon be in jail followed by an infinite list of his loved ones. She just hasn’t decided whom she’ll hurt next, Gonzo, Matias, Adri and even the sweet Cons. She tells Hons she is his only option, a statement so absurd I don’t even know why he got upset.

Over at Empresas Monterrubio (EM) Gonzo, Matias, Daniel and some Comandante plot to use Daniel to entrap Blanca. Apparently she covered her tracks so well they need incriminating evidence against her.

Ensenada now has big block letters in the bay announcing it is the wine country.

Laz tells Padre he’s in town to pick up some insecticides for Alfonsina. I guess that means La Bonita is no longer an organic vineyard, eh? Laz mentions he went to see Doc Ick at the jail, the only thing he wants is what’s best for Kari. Padre reassures him that one doesn’t leave this world without paying their due (Doc) and that Laz will see that God will someday reward them (Laz and Kari).

Kari is in a nice tienda making a deal with the shop owner to sell her embroidered tablecloths. The shop owner is so impressed she wants Kari to sell her items exclusively through her tienda. Kari is happy to be supporting herself.

Matias visits Hons to tell them they are going forward with entrapping BSCBlanca to get Hons out of jail. Hons gives Matias two cards, one for Cons and one for Adri. They do a fist touch against the dividing glass, awwww.

Doc Yellow shows Padre the results of Doc Desert’s fertility test. I was just about to make a crack about telling Padre being better than an email blast but the Padre one-upped me. Before I finish the thought he grabs Doc Marina and they rush off to La Bonita to tell Alfonsina.

Regina continues her physical therapy with Adri while Cons looks on. Regina even advises Adri to get a little sunlight to help heal her bones (Vitamin D). Matias shows up with the cards and carries Adri out to the garden to read hers.

Regina tells Cons that she saw Pepa yesterday when she was leaving Consti’s place. Pepa must live around there.

Ack! The shrill yelling tells me that Roberta’s in this scene. She’s in Gonzo’s office working on her “Will-Shriek-For-Money” plot. She demands that Gonzo intervene on her behalf with Matias. Gonzo yells right back that she’s in no position to demand (exigir) anything and he refuses to help. She wonders what’s up (que onda) with him? That’s his very question to her. What’s up with her that she bothers him with this stuff while he’s trying to deal with much graver issues. Her capricious problems are directly the result of her bad decisions so don’t count on him. If he intervenes it will be not for her but for his son! Thus endeth an extremely satisfying scene.

Regina tells Cons she’s really bad at describing car makes but Pepa’s was black and had four doors. Coni is muy impactada and gasps at this completely generic description. Come on Cons, whip out a picture of Fina and put us out of Nata’s misery!

Speaking of misery, Fina has just received the divorce order rom a gleeful Soto. He smugly announces that as of now she’s no longer Gonzo’s spouse and he’s free to marry tomorrow if he likes. Soto admits that after the way she played him he’s thrilled to be part of putting her in her place. He trusts everyone she’s messed with will have the same opportunity. “Justice might come late,” he warns, “but it does come.” He actually giggles as he leaves. She beats up the papers. Wow, yet another satisfying scene. Thanks writers!

Cons wants to hear more about this Pepa. Gina says Pepa was her late husband’s assistant, they were lovers, she had his child and then disappeared. When Gina next saw her, Pepa tried to poison her in the hospital and then showed up again yesterday. The investigators have never been able to find her. One was close until he died at the heads of a Oaxacan ex-mayor. Cons looks thoughtful but Regina thinks his death had nothing to do with Pepa. Tony was heading up the investigation and wants to continue looking for the kid but Gina wants to stop his involvement. Cons thinks hard about all this new information. Didn’t Coni help Fina leave Oaxaca and get her job at EM?

Later, after Regina leaves, she tells herself “No no no I can’t think such a thing, It would be terrible.”

Adri and Matias kiss and flirt in the garden. He tells her “Te quiero” but ACK! Here comes the shrieking harpy again. Berta’s not happy to see her husband kissing on Adri and tries to destroy every one's eardrums in revenge. Berta yells that she’ll go after Matias for infidelity. Matias says go for it, nothing would please him more. Adri sticks up for herself too, the difference between them is that Adri actually loves Matias. Matias yells at Berta not another word against his girlfriend. Adri taunts and Berta stalks off flinging her favorite insult, “Estupidos!” What? Satisfying scene #3? Now I’m worried the writers are setting us up.

Adri and Matias laugh together that they were able to piss off that harpy by telling her that Adri is Mat’s novia. Adri feels bad that he’s stuck between the spider tag team of Berta and Fina who take advantage of his goodwill. “No more” he says. Adri wishes she could tell Renata how they got the best of Berta. Adri imitates Berta, “MamA!”

“Mama! MamAA!!”, yells Berta as she stomps into the house. She tells Fina she found the idiots Matias and Adri kissing. Fina sighs and tells Berta now is not a good time. Berta harps on some more about Mama’s brilliant plans not working out. Fina tells her to calm down, soon things will turn to their favor and they’ll get everything they want. Berta says if things don’t change soon she’s leaving. “And where will you go where you can have everything you like?” inquires mom. Berta smiles to herself.

Big block letters on the lawn say Hacienda La Bonita, just in case there was any doubt - Herminia has gossip for Manuela and Mati. Augustin is hiding a woman at Cruz de Amor and he went to Tijuana to buy expensive clothes for her. Alfonsina sidles in, hears the discussion and reveals that Ponchita saw the woman and she was so beautiful he confused her with...Renata.

Renata helps Control Freak Egoist Augie (CFE, thanks daisynjay) with his label project while he stares at her. Yep, I always work well when someone sits across from me staring unblinkingly and gushing over my smile. Oh gross, she teases him with her paintbrush and he chases her around the desk.

Jero reads the results of the writing analysis to Carlos. Roberta did NOT write the La Bonita letter. In the midst of their teeth gnashing Matilde runs in with the super chisme. They say Augie keeps a woman hidden in his hacienda; he treats her like a queen, buying her gifts and more. They say that this woman looks a lot like...Renata.

CFE’s cellular rings and it’s Roberta. She’s tired of her life and she needs a little action. If he doesn’t come to the DF she’s going to... “NO!”, says Augie, no visitors, not right now. He tells her not to push, don’t call him he’ll call her. Click. (Hee hee.)

Nata teases CFE that his phone call sounded like one of his conquests. He says he’s not a womanizer; Nata tells him he could have any woman he wants. She asks him seriously why he never married. “Because I had never met you,” he coos. She laughs him off, asking how many times he’s used that line. Whew, saved by the commercial break.

Regina visits Tony to tell him to stop his involvement in finding her daughter. He makes a wisecrack about her love for Gonzo coming before her search for her daughter. Nice mature behavior there Tony. He says until her daughter’s in her arms he’s not going back on his word. Regina kindly tells him to back off and not to worry, she’ll continue the investigation on her own. “You AND Gonzalo.” he muses bitterly, to which I would say No s**t Sherlock, but Regina is kinder, “You’re a marvelous man but it simply is not working out.” She wishes him the best with all her heart. Tony, do you feel the slightest twinge of guilt for your current perfidious activity?

Adri tells Cons that Berta went crazy just because she saw Adri and Matias talking. (Heh, she left out a small detail.) Cons cautions her about becoming Berta’s enemy. Adri asks what else is bothering Cons? Cons asks if she knows where Renata and Berta spent their childhood? Yes, in Oaxaca confirms Adri. Coni asks Adri to help her with an internet search.

Cons is afraid to read Honorio’s letter. She’s afraid he’ll ask her not to visit him and forget about him while he’s in jail. He won’t want to shame her and will tell her to stay far away. Adri observes that Cons knows him well, that’s almost exactly what he said in his letter to her.

Tony calls Fina to tell her about the setback (contrariedad) that Regina sacked him from her daughter’s search. However he did get a look at the amount of the trust, there were a LOT of zeros. Fina loves his sweet words, but he says there is a problem. In order to collect, Gina’s daughter can’t just present herself, she must provide irrefutable proof.

Carlos confirms to Jero that their vines have the plague. Alfonsina bounces up to tell them she has the proper insecticides, she informed all the other haciendas and they are taking action. All except Cruz de Amor that is, problems with Ezequiel and all that. She asks Carlos if he would do the honors. Carlos suggests Laz should go talk to Zeke.

Alf gives Jero a basket of grapes for defending her. Jero asks her about the woman at CFE’s hacienda. She confirms that Ponchito saw her yesterday.

Kari runs into the La Bonita kitchen to excitedly brag about her new job providing exclusive tablecloths. She also has the fabric (tela) for Mati’s wedding dress.

Doc Marina and Padre reveal to Alfonsina that Dr. Dried Up is sterile. He’s not having kids with her or anyone! Alfonsina prays in relief.

A very perturbed CFE strides into the jail. He’s not happy about being summoned by Doc. Doc whines that Augi’s got to get him out of jail pronto. It’s all Augi’s fault that Doc’s in jail, he’s the one that made Doc dispense with Rafa’s autopsy. CFE points out that nobody believes a drunk. Doc says maybe, but Jero Linares would be interested to hear that Augi is a thief, basically robbing the grapes of La Bonita. When Augi found out Jero was going to terminate their contract Augie introduced (lanzar) the plague into Jero’s vines. We are introduced to a flashback of Augie going to his special infected vine, locked and caged as if it were a savage beast. He snips off a branch. Honestly, I laughed out loud at the idea of chicken wire managing to keep an infected vine separate from other vines growing right next to it. “Now the vines of La Bonita will know the rancor of Cruz de Amor!” cackles Augi. Hey folks, I don't make this stuff up, I just report it.

"I had a totally different take on the "theft" at the vineyard. I had trouble with the vocabulary & so am not sure I understood it all but here's what I heard --

Auggie & Dr. Nasty snuck into La Bonita and broke into the cage which had Rafa's special imported vinestock locked in. Auggie stole a cutting from the valuable vine which until then had been the exclusive property of Rafa. (Maybe that's why he only contracted to buy the entire harvest of that grape for three years -- after that he would have his own harvest of this wonderful new grape.) The doc is saying that not only was it theft but also a motive for murder since it would be better for Auggie if Rafa never discovered the stolen vine on Auggie's property. There was also something in the dialogue about the "plaga" but I didn't understand that part."

Augie snaps back into the present, shakes his finger at Doc and croaks, “You wouldn’t dare because that night you were just as guilty as I.”

Nata calmly does her graphics at Cruz de Amor. We hear scary music as someone sneaks up behind her. “So it is you,” accuses Jero, revealing his glaring hateful face. Nata of course looks stricken.

Doc Ick is not affected by CFE’s threats. He says there’s nothing left to lose and Jero, who hates Augi,is dying to pin Rafa’s murder on someone. Get him out or he’ll open his mouth. Doc, we believe you, now shut your gaping maw.

Jero coldly says he came to see Augi’s mystery woman and of course it’s Renata. Then he gripes about the divorce. He accuses, blames and jumps to conclusions. He says she is doing all this just to hurt him. Why Augi of all people? Is she blind? She doesn’t know the real Dunant. Funny, even when Jero’s right he sounds wrong.

Augi sags and agrees to let his lawyer defend Doc Ick. Doc says if he doesn’t see the lawyer within two days he’ll tell Jero everything.

As Jero calms down somewhat Nata hears her father’s words, that nobody must know where she is or why. She tells Jero he’s right. She wanted to get away from her problems and when Augie invited her she... Jero covers his ears and interrupts, it doesn’t matter because he and she are nothing.

Mati, Kari and Manuela gush over Mati’s fabric. Alfonsina busts in (pun intended) with the happy news that Doc Marina told her that her baby isn’t Doc’s. Kari looks stricken as Manuela scolds Alf for blurting the news in front of Kari. Alf says there’s more, “Kari the news is for you too. The doctora said Alvaro is sterile. You can have children! He was lying to you all this time.” Kari stumbles out weeping.

Aw jeez, aren’t these two done yet? Jero asks Nata why she made him believe there was hope for them? She asks him why he asked her to marry him when all he wanted was revenge? He accuses her of being cruel and tells him at least she kept it short. She waxes about Augi’s loyalty and honesty (hack hack) and Jero practically loses it.

As he leaves she asks him a favor. Could he please not tell anyone he saw her there? He says no worries, he’s not about to tell anyone his ex-wife is Dunant’s lover!

Damn you, you bitter bastard, for making our Renata cry...again.

WEDNESDAY ON COLOR OF PASSION EPISODE 77

The Old: Leticia and Rodrigo commiserate about being miserable over coffee, and Rod picks up on Leti’s jealousy over Sergio stepping out with Gloria. Nora greets Marcelo and Lucia at the foot of the stairs with the Plot Pistol aimed right at them. She blames Lucia for all her woes, and swears that if she can’t have Marcelo, neither can Lucia! She fires a shot that goes wild and destroys a talavera pot that was minding its own business. Marcelo rushes her and they wrestle wildly for the gun. Another shot rings out in the middle of the struggle, and Marcelo, Nora, and Lucia all seem paralyzed with shock.

The New:  Marcelo realizes that neither he nor Nora were hit by the bullet, and he snatches the gun from her hands while her guard is down. Lucia calls out his name, and when he and Nora turn to face her, they see a stream of blood running down the right leg of her green dress, from where the bullet entered her thigh. Lucia’s shock turns into intense pain, and she begins to scream and collapses to the floor. Marcelo drops the gun and quickly goes to cradle Lucia as her pain and screams intensify. Two gunshots, one shattered pot, and many screams later, Alonso and Rebeca finally emerge from their heated bedroom argument, and run down the stairs demanding to know what the hell is going on. Al is overwhelmed and totally confused by what he sees. In reply to his question about what happened, Marcelo looks from the gun to Nora, who is rooted to the foot of the stairs, wild-eyed, a silent scream stuck in her throat. There’s no time to waste arguing, and so Marcelo and Alonso take hold of Lucia and carry her away so that she can be transported to the hospital.

Rebeca remains alone with Nora. She looks from the gun to Nora, and screams at her, demanding to know what she’s done. She continues screaming at her as she shakes her. Nora escapes her grasp, runs upstairs, and locks herself in her room, with Rebeca hot on her heels.

Leti finally makes it home, in time for an interrogation from a worried Sara—Leti left her phone and her car, but no note. Sara is utterly confused when Leti says he was with Rod, but their discussion is interrupted by a call from frantic Al. Sara says she’s on her way, then tells Leti that Lucia was shot! Leti’s going to the hospital too.

Rod also finally gets home and tells Sergio he took his advice and went to see his depressed daddy. Sergio’s night wasn’t the greatest either. He thinks he made a mistake inviting Gloria to the wedding. Rod gives Sergio his own advice—fix things before it’s too late.  (“Pon el remedio, antes que ser demasiado tarde.”) He then mentions he had coffee with Leti. “Looks like she’s in as bad a shape as I am—we’re both alone.” Sergio seems taken aback to learn his guy bestie and gal bestie went out together.

In the hospital, Marcelo has to calm Al down, who’s demanding to be able to see his daughter! He then moves on to demand more info about where Nora got a gun. Marcelo tells him, and now Al is pissed that they didn’t tell him about this sooner. When Marcelo says they thought they could handle it, Al points out the obvious that they couldn’t and didn’t!

Back at Casa Gaxiola, Rebeca is back downstairs, staring at the trail of blood Lucia left behind, and the gun that’s still on the floor where Marcelo dropped it. She has a mini freakout as she remembers Federico shooting himself in the head in front of her with that very gun. She picks it up gingerly, then places it on the ground once again, trembling.

Sara and Leti join Al and Marcelo in the hospital. While Sara goes back to see what info she can get about Lucia’s condition, Leti waits with Marcelo and a very worried Al. Sara comes back some time later to tell them that luckily, the bullet didn’t hit any bone or vital arteries, and Lucia will be fine. She’ll be out of it because of the drugs, but they’ll be able to see her as soon as she’s moved to her room. Marcelo and Leti run off to the room to wait for Lucia, but Sara keeps Al behind to tell him that the hospital has to report any bullet wounds, and the police will be coming at some point.

Marcelo and Leti greet a mostly asleep Lucia as she’s wheeled in, then leave Al alone with her. He crouches by her hospital bedside in a way that reminds Viewerville, and certainly must remind him, of the day Adriana died in that very same hospital. He strokes and kisses her forehead, and tells her he can’t lose her too.

Magdalena and Mario have made it all the way to the airport in D.F., but Magda can’t get into honeymoon mode. She keeps thinking that the arrival of Rebeca at their wedding was like a bird of ill omen (ave de mal agüero), and even though she’s never gotten along well with Nora, she’s worried about her. She thinks they should call to see how she is. Mario kisses away her worries—they’d know by now if anything bad had happened, and gets her hyped for their honeymoon in Cancun. She still has a bad feeling (presentimiento) that something is wrong once they arrive in Cancun, but Mario talks her down again.

Al is determined to not to leave Lucia’s side until he can take her home the next day. Marcelo, Leti and Sara remind him that he has to take care of his own health and rest. He’s only convinced to go when Sara tells him he needs to go home for Nora. Al then starts to worry about Nora and how his poor baby is doing after shooting her sister. He leaves Marcelo in charge of taking care of Lucia. Marcelo asks Al to recover the gun for him when he gets home. He then calls Momster to tell her he’s staying in the hospital with Lucia, who had an “accident”. When she gets off the phone, Mili tells Rafaela she’s sure Lucia’s just faking it, to keep Marcelo by her side and away from Mili. “Why do you always have to think the worst of that girl? What is it exactly that you don’t like about her?” “Everything! Absolutely, everything!”

Al gets home and finds Rebeca sitting on the stairs, staring at the trail of blood. He gives her the update on Lucia and asks for one on Nora. Rebeca saying she doesn’t know and hasn’t seen Nora since they all left, is just unacceptable to Al. Rebeca is feeling all kinds of sorry for herself and sobs that Nora doesn’t want to see her. Al wants to know why she never told him that Nora had the gun. If she had told him, perhaps he could have prevented this from happening (he’s also starting to clutch at his heart attack arm). Al starts talking about the legal trouble Nora will likely be in, and Rebeca’s not having it. She wants Al to call Mario back from his honeymoon and keep her baby out of jail. Al refuses to ruin Mario’s honeymoon, but he will find a way to help Nora—perhaps Dr. Andrade can give testimony about Nora’s mental health that would help. R: My daughter is not crazy! A: I swear that I’m not so sure anymore.

Al knocks on Nora’s door. She’s unresponsive, but this time he’s prepared and has the keys. He and Rebeca find Nora on the floor, curled up in the fetal position. He picks her up off the floor, and she swears to him that she didn’t want to hurt anyone. Al assures her that he believes her, lets her know that Lucia will be ok, and hugs and kisses her to try to comfort and calm her. Nora looks completely broken, and Rebeca seems to know that she broke her. Rebeca runs out of the room to have a cry in the hallway.

The next morning, Marcelo feeds Lucia green hospital Jello. She thanks him for taking care of her, and tells him how terrified she was that he’d get hurt when Nora pointed the gun at him. Marcelo laments that she was the one who ended up getting hurt, and says that now Nora will have to pay the consequences. Before Lucia can answer, Detective Juarez and his junior detective arrive to take Lucia’s statement. To Marcelo’s shock and consternation, Lucia says the shooting was all HER fault—the result of her inexperience while handling a gun. Marcelo lets them know the gun is his and he has all the registration paperwork. Detective J is all kinds of suspicious of Marcelo, but his underling (who interviewed Marcelo after his stabbing), says he has all of Marcelo’s deets. Marcelo just has to come down to the station ASAP with that gun and the paperwork. After the cops leave, Lucia has some ‘splainin’ to do. She tells Marcelo that she didn’t rat Nora out because she’s her sister, and she has more than enough problems at the moment, without jail being one of them. Marcelo is NOT in agreement that this is the best way to help Nora. Lucia thanks him for not ratting her out (desmentir) in front of the cops.

Outside, the cops are still suspicious. Detective J wants a report from the doctors on the trajectory of the bullet, and if Lucia could have really shot herself by accident, as she claims. They think she might be covering for someone. “Lately, that girl’s family has been in a lot of legal trouble.” Junior detective reminds Juarez that Marcelo was a recent stabbing victim in front of the family’s business. “That’s a lot of problems for one family…”

Al gets the gun from Rebeca, who has locked it in her nightstand (ironically under a photo of Nora).  As she hands it to him and asks him to get rid of it, she mentions that this gun has provoked many tragedies. Al informs her that Dr. Andrade is seeing Nora right now and will go on seeing her, and too bad if Rebeca isn’t in agreement!

In her room, Nora is in her bed, staring off into space, as Dr. Andrade does all the talking. He stands up so that she can’t avoid seeing him. “The moment has come for you to decide if you want help, or not….Nora, if you want to continue with therapy, you know where to find me.” He leaves, but he seems to have somewhat broken through Nora’s fog. Once downstairs, he tells Al that things went badly, but he made it clear to her that they can’t help her if she doesn’t let them. Al asks Roman if he could make a statement about Nora’s mental health to the police. Roman agrees to give his medical opinion, if needed. He asks after Lucia’s health before he departs.

Poor Tere has been left out of the loop of all the drama, but knows something really bad went down. Al sits her down to tell her.

In the hospital, Marcelo has been pensive ever since the cops left. He tells Lucia that he’s going to tell Al everything TODAY. He can’t keep quiet anymore. Lucia tries to talk him out of it, but he won’t be swayed. Leti comes to visit with Lucia, giving Marcelo a break to go home to shower (and go have that long-delayed conversation with Al). Lucia must pretend that all is well in front of Leti, but she’s obviously panicked about the bomb Marcelo is about to explode in the middle of her already fractured family.

The visit from Rod has put the pep back in Amador’s step. Brigida’s pleased to see him up, dressed, and not drunk. Amador points out that her concern means that she still cares for him. She wouldn’t have stayed with him this long if she didn’t, she counters. “I know it’s hard for you to believe, but the only woman I’ve ever really loved is you.” She throws Ligia in his face, and he quickly says it was nothing more than a fling. Brigida asks him straight up if he killed Ligia. Amador tempts Karma and Fate by swearing on Rod’s life that he did not kill that woman. Then he tenderly kisses Brigida’s hand and lips, and embraces her.

Marcelo comes home and tells Mili the official story of Lucia accidentally shooting herself with the gun Fede shot himself with. Mili freaks the hell out, and tells him to get rid of the damn thing already! Rafa wants to know the real story, since she knows Nora was the one who stole the gun from his room. Marcelo tells her, but warns her to stick to the official story, which is what they told the cops. Rafa is also Team Get-Rid-of-the-Damn-Gun! Marcelo says he will—after he tells Al the truth today.

Al arrives with clothes for Lucia, ready to check her out of the hospital. Unfortunately, that’s not happening because Lucia is bleeding out. After Al, Lucia and Leti have a group freakout, Sara later tells Al that Lucia is having a blood clotting/coagulation issue, and needs to stay for more tests. They’ll put her on meds to help her blood clot, and then she should be able to go home. Al tells Sara that he trusts her, and is leaving Lucia in her hands. He calls Marcelo with an update, and they make plans to meet at the office, where Al will give Marcelo the gun, and Marcelo will discuss something very important with Al. He’s just been looking at the Plot Earring, and seems more determined than ever to reveal the truth.

Back in Casa Gaxiola, Rebeca is trying yet again to get back into Nora’s good graces. “You don’t know how much it hurts me to see you this way. You’re the most important thing in life to me, and I can’t stand to see you suffer.” Nora turns her face away, even as Rebeca climbs onto the bed with her, and places her face inches away from Nora’s. Nora finally turns to face her mother, but only to tell her that she wants Rebeca to get away from her. Rebeca looks like she’s just been slapped. She retreats in defeat. Nora quietly cries to herself.

After Al told Tere the gossip, she called Lalo, who told Normita, and now they are both telling Nazario, who’s ticked off that Al didn’t call him last night to tell him his goddaughter had been shot! He’s ready to rush off to the hospital, but Lalo and Normita convince him to wait for Al to arrive to give them the update on Lucia’s condition.

When Al finally arrives at the fabrica, Marcelo is already waiting for him in his office. Al’s worried that the police will arrive at any moment to take Nora away. Marcelo explains that Lucia took the blame for the shooting, and didn’t involve Nora’s name in any way. Al is surprised, but not shocked. It’s just the kind of noble/selfless thing Lucia would do. She’s too noble at times. Marcelo agrees, then asks about the pistol. Al hands it to him, and tells him to lock the damn thing up. Marcelo confesses that this is the gun his brother took his own life with. “And even so, you keep it?” Al is also Team Get-Rid-of-the-Damn-Gun! Marcelo explains that it belonged to his father, and is one of the few reminders he has of him. Plus, he doesn’t want to forget what happened to his brother, and that what he did was because of a woman who betrayed him.

M: Remember that I was about to tell you who she is?
A: Yes, but I imagine that this is hurting you a lot, and it’s not good to be reminded of it.
M: It’s VERY important for me to clarify this. I ask your forgiveness for the pain this is going to cause you, but I think it’s time for you to know.

The words start tumbling out, and Marcelo begins to quickly tell Al how that woman was present when his brother took his life, that she fled and left him there without knowing if his brother were dead or injured (herido), and that she left a souvenir behind next to his brother’s body. Marcelo takes the earring out of his pocket, and places it in front of Al.
M: Do you recognize it?
A: (Al’s eyes begin to fill with tears.) Is it Rebeca’s?
M: Yes. Rebeca is the reason I’m here. I came here looking for her to avenge the death of my brother!
