The welcome back to freedom fiesta for Honorio is tarnished by the sour lurking face of Fina, but nobody seems to notice her or the peckish attitude of Constanza and sober grimaces of Honorio while they un-celebrate her lack of infidelity while overtly toasting to the liberation of Honorio and the restoration of the honor and integrity of Empresas Monterubio. Adriana is the only one unreservedly glad but she has to juggle the sourpuss moves of Matias who is paranoid that she enjoyed the hot lips of Chema too much. Fina comes back in her back door and swears that Regina will be so sorry so soon She can’t take her family, Malafina is never so happy as when she has a dastardly plan. Inez is surprised that things don’t seem to be resolved between Honorio and Consta. Constanza admits that Chema went to tell him the truth.

Fiesta 2: Roberta looks winsomely through the office windows at Augie who is planning something dastardly himself regarding the grape vine starts (sarmientos) with someone on the phone. It must be more damage he plans against La Bonita. Roberta says she didn’t want to interrupt considering what he was talking about. She assumes that the vine shoots are important. Augie picks her up and kisses her in a most unbrotherinlawtobe way telling her it is better if she doesn’t know more.

Fiesta 3: Then Chema calls Adri to tell her that he didn’t have bunny hop with Consta, He tries to explain that this was not for Hon or for her but now he can’t stop thinking about her. Matias looks on seeming to hear the air and see through the phone;. Good thing Adriana hasn’t signed up for facetime on her cell phone.

Fiesta 4: Lazaro and Carlos run into a wonderful village woman who thinks Lazaro looks like her old friend Heriberto who turns out to be Lazaro’s father then she recognizes he must be Lazaro who left the village as a child. She reminds him that she knew Heriberto and Matilde his parents then Carlos tells her that they are looking for his sister Matilde and Carlos describes the beauty with long dark smooth (lisa) hair. What do you know! She has just such a hermosa chica in her own house.

Fiesta 5: The big fiesta for Padre’s birthday meant to cheer the peons has begun. Renata in her Chiapas finery and Augie in his omnipresent windbreaker, at least formal black, try to make like things are good. Roberta slinks up to Ezek and flirts with him. He ask if he could offer her something (boy and howdy) then he helps her aim the toy rifle. He imagines she doesn’t like such country bumpkin events but promises her there will be real dancing later. She is so adept at sneering, we might mistake it for a smile. Dr. MarinaTatarrific approaches Jero. She receives a kiss for looking pretty and for her good news that she is going to ask her secretary to send her a copy of Roberta’s medical records, more kisses. Renata notices while she stands at Augie’s side also with a toy popgun. It’s just a miracle that neither sister goes postal.

Dr. Marina is going to tell Jero some truthiness about Roberta. She tells him that Roberta had a miscarriage days before the fall from the stairs, the stair fall had nothing to do with losing the baby. Dr. Tata can’t understand why Roberta didn’t tell the truth. And for this miscarriage being hidden and ignored, she is now sterile.

Fiesta 4: Lazaro and Carlos grip the sleeping Matilde with relief. The kind curandera says she thinks Matilde spent the night outside cold and wet and someone hit her but she doesn’t seem terribly injured, just profoundly unconscious. She goes off to make a strong tea to bring her around. Carlos declares his love and plans to spend his life with her. Sabina says with my herbs and your sentiments we are sure to bring her back to health.

Fiesta 5: Jero and Tat talk about how bad Fina is but Jero is still calling her Dona Fina with too much respect, and Roberta is just like her. Marina asks if Renata isn’t different. Jero defends that Renata is a good woman and nothing like the two harpies.

Fiesta 4: Matilde comes to drowsily, asking where she is. They are in Sabina’s house, who by coincidence knew her parents long again and saved her. Kind Lazaro doesn’t scold but is so glad she has been found okay. Matilde asks where did his parents go. Back to Merida, he answers. She is sad that they found her insufficient because she was a servant. Carlos assures her that for him she is a queen and he would do anything for her.

Fiesta 5: Roberta makes a point of telling Renata how great Tata and Jero are getting along and Renata mocks, NOOO, I didn’t notice. Then Augie points out a fortune game where sweet birdies pick a fortune. He orders two fortunes. In voice over we hear that Roberta is on a dangerous path and must be careful. She sneers saying she is wasting her time. She declares it stupid. Renata’s fortune says that things are not what they seem and the person at her side is?? She mumbles. What does this mean? Augie grabs the fortune and crushes it saying Roberta was right these are stupid. He goes off to talk with someone winking over at a booth. Note that only Renata is nice to the bird and even to the fortune vendor.

Renata and Roberta bump into Tata and Jero joking over cotton candy, Tata says how are you Roberta, to the amazement of Renata. You know her? Yes, Jero adds, she is none other than the gynecologist of Roberta. Roberta gets cranky and when Renata asks why Dr. Tata is Roberta’s ex-doc, she says ask your sister. Jero says yes it seems so delicate after all it was practically a miracle that her, I mean OUR baby was made without me ever touching the mother. Roberta doesn’t like either his tone or his attitude, stomps off to avoid further truths spewing out of the two mouths. Renata looks stunned while chases after Roberta.

Augie has a brief conversation about something nasty he is planning at La Bonita with a man running one of the carnival games.

Padre greets more guests carrying gifts. Is this supposed to relieve the tension and remind us that we are at a gala event and we are supposed to be enjoying ourselves?

Fiesta 6: Fina has taken on an art project to make a clever ransom note made of letters chopped out of the paper. It invites Regina to pay up if she wants to meet her daughter. For the value of the trust fund, she can regain her daughter, is she interested? Fina laughs at her cleverness and says Regina you have no idea the surprise I have for you. Her cackles fairly echo in the empty office of the empty house. No amount of luxury can muffle the lonely bitterness erupting out of Fina.

Fiesta 1 for justice and liberty: Matias welcomes Regina to the family. The Honorio fiesta is winding up with expression of the sentiments that the company can recover their reputation and no fraud was committed. They bid good night. The remaining couple do not reunite into a good night. The pouting and posturing continue as Hornorio decides he would rather be alone in Adri’s apartment where there is neither food nor comfort. He is resolved to suffer. Back in the bedroom Matias is expressing his suffering and jealousy of Adri and this Chema thing. So a house that should be so joyous is having no fun at all.

Fiesta 5: Roberta is fuming that Jero is an imbecile and ruined her evening. An unsympathetic Augie says he must be a Renata’s side and the auction (subasta) is coming up, He simply says go home to the hacienda then. He isn’t too happy about her complaints but liked how she keeps digging in about Jero and TataMarina. They part with Roberta expressing how much she hopes Augie comes home soon since she feels like bring WITH him. (Tengo ganas de ti).

Ezek sits with Manuela and Kari and is hailed by Augie. The women wonder who Roberta is, Kari thinks she seems familiar, Manuela thinks she seems to be high society. Augie orders Ezek to take Roberta back to the hacienda. She watches Ezek’s backside, saying this is nothing bad, and takes his arm not wanting marriage but vowing to try everything. Alfonsina shows up just in time to see the slick Roberta slime/ I mean slide/ down the walk with Ezek and knows trouble when she sees it. Roberta grabs his arms so she can balance on her high heels.

Matilde is recovering. Carlos calls Jero to tell him that they found her and will return tomorrow.

Renata says to Augie that something she can’t understand happened between Tata and Roberta. Augie tries to laugh it off but Renata wants to understand.

Jero walks by to distract Renata who walks by to distract him then Augie walks by to distract both I guess, strange dance step. Padre announces the beginning of the auction of dresses and also tells the crowd that Matilde has been found and will be home tomorrow. Everyone claps and he says it is the best news to Marina who left Jero to his own devices while she went to tell Padre the great news about Matilde.

Alfonsina is confused about who Roberta is, Manuela suggest she must be a special guest (I just mistyped quest, and that works too) of Augie. She tells Kari that she didn’t see anything specific but call it woman’s intuition that something was up with Roberta and Ezek. Yep, the levels of sex hormones is what’s up in my opinion.

Back to Fiesta 1: Adriana counsels Consta now that she will go talk to her Papa to fix this silly fight. And says lying is always a bad idea. But Consta says only she and Honorio can fix this. Sweet helpful Adri says if Hon and Con don’t work it out he will have to listen to her.

Back to Fiesta 5: The incidental passing goes on until Jero and Augie meet to pass quips about the sister-in-law (cuñada) needing to have respect and Jero says she isn’t your cuñada. He lets it be known that he knows what Roberta and Augie are rats are. Renata will realize it soon enough. Augie responds with a swift punch to Jero’s head. A punching match ensues with first Augie then Jero getting in equal and satisfying punches but Augie always is the dirtier fighter finishes with several kicks to the ribs. Padre comes to break it up saying he expects they will act like gentlemen, then he reassures the crowd that they should go on with the fiesta there is nothing to see here.

Back to Fiesta 4: A worried Carlos asks Sabina if the fever is going down. Yes, it is beginning to respond. He asks to sit by Matilde’s side. How do you feel .I can’t live without you. Lazarp, the ever wise one, leads Sabina out of the room while Matilde notes that his parents would now not give permission for him to marry her. They have their own way of thinking and I have my own. None of this is her fault. The church won’t fault her for not having her parent there to declare her an adult woman since they are dead so his parents don’t have to be there either. He has chosen his own path and wants to be by her side. She finally relents.

Back to Fiesta 5: La Subasta de Trajes Tipicos, A fund raising auction of ethnic regional dresses. The bidding starts with Marinatata;s lovely dress and the bids are generous. Jero bids $10,000 (if this is pesos, it is about $777), everyone smiles. . Tatla thanks Jero. Next up is our Renata. Bidding opens with $3000, then Augie bids $10,000 smirking as if he is not to be outdone by Jero. Surprise, surprise, Jero says $15,000 and Augie bids $25,000 ($1942 in dollars). Jero stands and thanks him for paying this generous (read ridiculous) price for the dress. Augie looks had. Padre looks glad and wants to make more from the remaining dresses. His big gifts are already assured.

Fiesta 7 the best for last: At the hacienda, Roberta comes in and begins to seduce poor Ezek. She lays back on the couch with arms open then starts to undo his shirt while she asks him to pour a glass of wine for each of them. While she mentions that perhaps then she will ask for other things. He weakly protests that he has to return to the fiesta, She responds: have to or want to? He doesn’t seem to scared, a bit surprised, but definitely not scared.

Sabina says with the tea she gave Matilde she will sleep and will wake much better. Carlos whips out money to present to a shocked Sabina. Lazaro steps in helpfully saying his offer to give Sabina money might be taken as an insult. So Carlos thinks fast and says at least you must come to our wedding as a special guest. She wouldn’t miss it. Then he asks for two things, as he puts the money away he says that is taken care of and the second is that he wants Lazaro to call him brother-in-law and treat him like family that he is to be. Lazaro sits back and says with gravity, we will see. Carlos is impactada.

Augie carps that he bought her not the dress and Renata is confused. Augie feels cheated into being generous again. Oh my.

Jero gets his contusions attended to by the sexy doctor, who says all men act like children as she kisses his booboos so sweetly. Tata practices the fine art of good doctor, good sex partner, good spare girl while she is overlooking his obvious obsession with Renata . He doesn’t reject he kisses and plays with where she should kiss him that doesn’t hurt.

Post Fiesta: Regina and Gonzo come into her living room see the envelope (how does she get the into apartments past locks and guards?) She makes him read it. So the offer is that for the equivalent value of the trust fund, she can see daughter, Is she interested? Regina says Cantu was right, this Pepa is only interested in money. It is clear the person wants Roberto’s fortune that was left to Regina II. Gonzo says she shouldn’t give everything, but Regina says she would give her very life if it would get her daughter back.

Fina who really is interested only in money, well maybe equally in revenge drums her fingers and wonders how long it will take to get her money and her revenge. She threatens the wedding plans, which may be part of the payment I think. She gambles a lot on Roberta sharing with her, doesn’t she?

Next Time: Roberta heat up her fiesta with Ezek. Augie comes to start his after fiesta fiesta and realizes Roberta isn’t breathlessly hot waiting for him but seems breathless from being hot. Jero gets more clues about the truth, going to Augie’s and asking to see Renata, which earns him another rifle aimed at him.

Having just discovered that her middle-aged boyfriend is not only a freeloader, as her father warned, but also a lying jerk with a long history of using and dumping rich women, and that he's about to bring false fraud charges against her ex, Daniela tears out of Ricardo's apartment and drives off like a maniac. She soon gets into a major car accident, flipping her car. As shocked passersby surround her car and call for help, Daniela’s fate is unclear.

Meanwhile, Ricardo decides to salvage what benefits he can from his brief relationship with Daniela, before she spills the beans to all. He calls up Alfredo and tells him he now believes Dani deserves a younger (and better) man than himself. He agrees to dump Dani if Al pays up as promised. He’ll text Al the amount he wants and his bank account number to transfer the money, ASAP. Ric next calls up someone whom he needs to see right away.

Milagros makes a call to Alfredo to confirm that she now knows that Lucia’s mother’s name was indeed Adriana. She quickly hangs up when Marcelo arrives home. They discuss his unsuccessful chat with Dani—she’s still determined to stick with that lout (patán) Ric. Mili tries to convince Marcelo that the best way to get over Lucia is to get a leg over Daniela (un clavo saca otro clavo/one nail drives out another). Marcelo’s been there, done her, and has no desire to repeat it—he’s in love with Lucia, NOT Dani.

Teresa brings a tray of dinner to a sad, pensive Lucia in her room, determined to make her eat. Lucia swears that she ate already at Tia Magdalena’s house. Tere knows that Lucia is so down because she fought with Marcelo—Lalo told her. She lists all of Marcelo’s great qualities. Lucia knows. She’s the one who can’t give him what he needs. Well, Lucia better get her ass in gear (poner las pilas), because there are all kinds of hos (lagartonas) out there, ready to snap a good man up! (Lucia’s face at this colorful commentary is hilarious.)

Lucia changes the subject and asks Tere about Lalo. Tere happily tells her that they are now officially novios. Lucia gives her a big hug and tells Tere that Lalo is a great man. Tere agrees that he’s a really good person.

Lalo’s evening meal of Lala Milk and pastries is interrupted by a knock at the door. It’s his new neighbor, Clara. She’s come to ask him if he knows of any available cleaning jobs. Lalo would love to help, but the factory where he works is currently topsy turvy (patas para arriba). Seeing how disappointed she is, Lalo offers Clara a job cleaning/washing/shopping for him twice a week. He apologizes for not being able to pay her much. Clara’s just grateful and thanks him profusely. He gets his spare key from its hiding place in the bird cage, and tells her he trusts her and has a good feeling about her. She’ll start tomorrow.

Alfredo calls his investigator to tell him that, of the three women he asked him to investigate, he should pay special attention to Rebeca Murillo. It’s likely that she’s used the name Adriana Murillo. Al then gets a call no parent wants to get. Something’s happened to Dani.

Turns out Ric called Amador, who’s annoyed to have been summoned so late to Ric’s place. Ric shoves the fraud charge document at Amador and demands to know just who is Marcelo Escalante. Why does he know Daniela Suarez—you know, the girl whose testimony put your son in jail? Amador reveals that Dani is/was Marcelo’s fiancé or girlfriend or something. Why? Amador is shocked to learn that Dani was Ric’s recent target…er, girlfriend. “What are you doing with such a sophisticated kid/brat (escuincla)?” Ric points out that the real issue here is that Dani just saw all the fraud charge documents. “How could you be such an idiot?! Why did you show her the papers?!” Ric tells him it was an accident, and she likely didn’t understand much, but she’s probably going to warn Marcelo (poner sobre aviso). However, he doesn’t think that it’ll help Marcelo much, since he won’t have time to mount a defense (un amparo) before he’s arrested. He just thought he should inform Amador, just like Amador should have informed HIM! Amador throws the blame back on Ric for his unprofessionalism and irresponsibility (is there such a thing among criminals?). “I don’t understand how you could have gotten involved with a girl who’s half your age, who could practically be your daughter?!” Pot meet kettle, responds Ric. He reminds Amador that he was recently involved with a girl just a little older than Dani, who’s also now DEAD, under strange circumstance. Amador backs down and leaves without a word.“That’s what I thought. Bye.”

Rebeca wakes Nora up from deep sleep in the middle of the night, to grill her about Daniela and if her last name is Suarez. Does Nora know her father’s name or if she has siblings? Nora is half asleep and totally confused, but confirms that Suarez is her last name and she was the one whose testimony put Rodrigo in jail for her cousin’s murder. Why? Rebeca makes up an unconvincing excuse about it being convenient if Dani knows about the Lucia-Marcelo breakup and tries to get him back. Once out in the hallway, Rebeca has a mini freakout. “Oh my God! He’s her father!”

Alfredo, meanwhile, is in the hospital panicking and trying to locate Dani. He’s sent to urgent care.

Brigida is waiting up for Amador, having a coffee, when he gets back. He’s vague about why Ric wanted to see him, but confides that he doesn’t trust Ric’s skills. Brigida doesn’t understand why Amador hired him. She then turns the talk to gossip, and asks if Ric ever confided why he dumped Magda at the altar. Amador gives Brigida some juicy gossip by telling her that Ric said he did it for another woman-- Amador doesn’t know who. And on top of that, Ric claims to have a daughter-- Amador doesn’t know with whom. Then Amador gives Brigida the juiciest piece of gossip of all—Ric’s been dating that stupid girl, Daniela Suarez! That tidbit gets Brigida hot. That girl accused Rod of killing Amador’s lover! She can’t even hear that girl’s name, and she hopes she and Marcelo go to hell! They dated, right? “Yep. Marcelo Escalante Fuentes. We’ll have to pray that that silly girl (babosa) doesn’t ruin our plans.” Brigida is left utterly confused by what Amador means by this. What plans?

The next morning, Mili pounds on Marcelo’s door. He was in the shower and didn’t hear his cell phone. Mili shares the alarming news that Dani was in an accident last night, and Alfredo is a wreck since he doesn’t know anyone here or anyone who can help get him info in the hospital. Marcelo will get dressed right away.

Rebeca doesn’t give Lucia, who’s also fresh from the shower, the courtesy of waiting before barging in. She tells Lucia that the will reading is happening that morning, like now. Lucia will be ready in 10 minutes! Downstairs, Magda has just arrived to check on Lucia. Rebeca comes down the stairs, looking very pleased with herself. She barely manages to look sincere as she thanks Magda for taking such good care of Lucia when she was sick. It was her friend Sara, who attended her, right? “Not just her, but another doctor who reviewed the medical analysis Lucia had done. He mentioned something that I thought was very strange…Apparently Lucia ingested something that provoked a series of ailments (malestares). But you know what’s odd? She doesn’t remember taking anything. Do you know what it could have been?” Rebeca tries to come up with her best cluelessly innocent face, then claims she has NO IDEA what it could have been. Magda puts her cards on the table and tells Rebeca that she knows she did it, because she detests Lucia! Rebeca calls her crazy. Magda’s not having it.“Watch your back, Rebeca! Because, as I’ve told you many times, Lucia is NOT alone!”Rebeca seems more than ready for that fight.

Lucia’s arrival ends the verbal duel, and Rebeca makes a point to stop Lucia on the stairs, smile at her and touch her, and ask how she’s feeling, while Magda stares daggers at her. Lucia hugs and kisses Magda, and confides in her that she’s going to seek Marcelo out to talk to him. She doesn’t know if she’s ready to get back together with him, but she wants to apologize for being so rude (grosera), and wants him to know that she loves him. Magda approves.

Marcelo and Mili are rushing out of his building to go to the hospital, when detectives and officers arrive to tell him he’s under arrest for fraud. Mili starts arguing with the cops, defending her son as being honest and honorable. They are not moved. Marcelo doesn’t waste time. He gives Mili his cell phone, with instructions to call Mario Hernandez for his legal representation, and call Sara Ezquerra for her help at the hospital. The cops cuff him and take him away.

Clara is trying to convince Benito to come with her over to Lalo’s, since his Madrina can’t come sit with him today. He insists he can be left alone. He’s mad at her for not calling the detective, so that she can clear up the situation and they can leave her in peace. Clara refuses. After she leaves, Benito searches for and finds Detective Ramos’ card.

I’m not even going to laugh, because my 78 year-old dad doesn’t know how to use a smart phone, and doesn’t want to know. It’s taking Mili and Rafaela working together to figure out how to get to Marcelo’s contacts to find and call Mario and Sara. They eventually get it done.

The Gaxiola women are SLAYING their matching navy blue and black ensembles, as they sashay into the judge’s chambers for the will reading.

Mario greets them at the door of the conference room, but only Lucia has the courtesy of returning his greetings and kissing him hello. He steps out when he gets the desperate call from Milagros. He assures her he’ll take care of it, then calls Sergio to ask him to head down to the police station to deal with the Marcelo problem, until he can finish up with the will reading. He tells Sergio to be discreet, and especially not mention the case to Leticia.

Rebeca picks up on Mario’s worry, but he claims it’s just a work issue he has to take care of later. Nazario walks in, which makes Lucia happy, but not Rebeca. Mario explains that Alonso made Naz the executor (albacea) of his will. Rebeca is really not pleased now. The judge arrives and begins to read the last will and testament of Alonso Gaxiola Beltrán.

The detective at the station explains the charges to Marcelo and the process. He’ll be held there until his bail hearing. As Marcelo is being taken away to the cells, Detective Ramos recognizes him and stops in his tracks wondering what is going on.

Back to the will reading… The main gist of it is that Lucia and Nora get all of the money and properties (that includes the house), 50/50. Rebeca is about to have a fit!“There’s nothing for me, his wife?!”  But we’re not done. Now we get to Al’s shares (acciones) in Talavera Gaxiola…40% for Lucia; 40% for Nora; and 20% for Rebeca. But wait, turns out Al made a final modification, and the judge is going to honor it. Al’s last instructions were that Lucia and Nora still get 40% each, but Rebeca only gets 10%. Rebeca jumps out of her seat to protest. Who is getting HER other 10%?! Nazario calmly says, “Me.” And he’s got the documents that show the legal transfer of the shares to his name. Oh, snap! Mario takes the documents from Naz and gives them to the judge. Everyone’s facial reactions are great, but Rebeca’s are just epic. LOL!

Lucia is happy to rub this fantastic new development in Rebeca’s face. “As you see, my godfather is also now an owner of the factory. And now not you, nor anyone, can fire him.” They all sign the legal documents, and Rebeca storms out angrily. Nora seems pleased that she got exactly what Lucia got, and more than her mother got. Lucia excitedly walks out hand-in-hand with her padrino. She wants to go to the fábrica right now and throw this in Amador’s face. Naz first wants to know about the maybe-baby. Lucia gives him the update that it was just a false alarm.

At the hospital, Sara approaches Alfredo and introduces herself, explaining that she’s Marcelo’s friend and here to help. She spoke with Dani’s doctor, and she’s in good hands. She explains that they are still waiting on test results to make a diagnosis of Dani’s condition. Sara does him the favor of taking him to see Dani through the intensive care window. She is unconscious and on a ventilator. Al worries and cries at seeing his daughter in this state.

The cops let Sergio into the cell to see his client Marcelo. The two know of each other, but this is the first time they’re really meeting. Sergio explains that Mario will arrive once he’s done with another client. Marcelo swears he’s not guilty, and he knows who’s behind framing him—Rebeca Murillo and her accomplice, Amador Zúñiga! Sergio tries to keep his poker face upon hearing his BFF’s dad being accused of framing someone for fraud. He assures Marcelo he has nothing to worry about, if that’s true. The judge will determine if he can come out on bail (salir bajo fianza), but Mario and Sergio are on it.

Rebeca and Nora arrive home. Nora’s still on a high, while Rebeca is about to explode. She can’t believe that Al only left her crumbs (migajas)! Nora points out that Al likely took into consideration that Rebeca has her own fortune that she inherited from her parents, that she hasn’t even touched. Rebeca says it’s not the same, and she’s really pissed that he took the shares that were supposed to be hers and gave them to that old man! And she’s offended that he didn’t leave her any part of the house. “Don’t worry. I’m half owner, and I won’t leave you in the street”, says an oh so generous Nora. But, Lucia might not feel the same, so maybe they should offer to buy her half.

Rebeca doesn’t think that’s a bad idea, but right now her main concern is the fábrica, because that’s what really has value. “You and I have to be more united than ever to make decisions. Because surely your sister will ally with her padrino. And we can’t allow them to take what’s OURS!” Nora wants to know what they’re going to do about Amador, since he’s still a partner (socio). Rebeca says she knows how to handle him.

Ric calls Amador and informs him that Marcelo is in the pokey. Amador wants to go out for a celebratory drink, but Ric has to go to the bank. Amador yells for Normita. Since he doesn’t get a response, he goes out to the empty reception area, and keeps walking towards the courtyard, where all the employees are gathered, surrounding Naz and Lucia. Lalo congratulates Naz on his return and gives him a big hug. All the other employees clap. Lucia announces that Naz is back to stay! While looking over at Amador, she pointedly says, “No one, ever again, can push him out of here! Through the wishes/orders (disposición) of my father, he is now also an owner.” Happy applause and cheers from the employees. Amador is not so happy. Ha!

Lucia asks Normita where Marcelo is. No clue. Lucia decides to wait for him in his office. At the hospital, Alfredo thanks Sara for her help, then Mili approaches him. He tells her how nice Marcelo’s friend Sara has been to him, but it’s obvious Marcelo doesn’t care about Dani, otherwise he’d be here. Mili breaks the news to him of Marcelo’s arrest for fraud. Marcelo’s phone rings, and when Mili sees it’s Lucia calling, she ignores it, mumbling that Lucia is responsible for all their misfortunes. Meanwhile, Lucia’s worried that Marcelo didn’t answer, but she doesn’t want to deal with his momster by calling his house phone. Dani’s attending doctor arrives and tells Al and Mili that Dani has an intracranial hematoma, and they’ve induced a coma to prevent additional damage. Now they just have to wait to see if the hematoma grows or disappears. “Does this mean my daughter could die?” “Yes. If the hematoma doesn’t disappear, and we have to operate, the chances of that happening are high.” Alfredo is impactado and heartbroken.

WEDNESDAY ON MY AMAZING BOYFRIEND - EPISODE 9 ON JOY PRIME @ 6: AM

Dong Dong confronts Ling Qiao about his seemingly close relations with his student’s mom. Ling Qiao, however, cannot fathom where he’s coming from and chides on modern human’s “possessiveness”. Dong Dong wrangles that being possessive is a normal human’s way of showing he cares. Ling Qiao then admits he is alien to such human behavior as he doesn’t feel the same deep concern for him or for Jing Zhi. Ouch! Dong Dong gives up and warns him not to tell those cutting words to Jing Zhing. For sure, she’ll be hurt as she worries for him the most. In fact, she has probably fallen asleep, waiting for him.

At the beach, Ling Qiao mulls on the thought alone. He’s convinced that he must distance himself sometime or else he’ll be someone’s possession. He also finds it hard to believe that Jing Zhi awaits his return. But when he did go home, he finds her sleeping on the couch while the TV is on, an evident manifestation that she cares. He carries her to her room. She wakes up but keeps her silence. The next morning, he’s gone.

Xuan Xuan visits Shi Guang to personally have him sign an important document. Shi Guang’s secretary then politely interrupts their conversation to tell him that Chairman Hong Shi Long has returned. It appears that Shi Long is Shi Guang’s cousin who claims he indecorously snatched the company.

The OTP is set to visit Jing Zhi’s parents. Dong Dong and Jing Zhi waits for Ling Qiao outside her parent’s house. There, Dong Dong inquires if she plans to marry Ling Qiao for real. But she dismisses the idea, saying that there’s a huge gap between human and monster. Dad then sees her car (more like Yan Zi’s car since he lend it to her) and shouts for them to go out. Jing Zhi calls Dad and together they wait for Ling Qiao’s arrival. Dad is starting to get suspicious of Ling Qia’s absence, but right on cue, he appears on a very expensive luxury car. Much to Dad’s delight, the car is actually Ling Qiao’s gift for him!

Jing Zhi assumes Ling Qiao acquired the car via loan and so she complains that she’ll have to accept a commercial gig just to pay for it. But Ling Qiao swears he bought the car and already paid his debt. She’s rather flabbergasted by his pronouncements and asks where he got the money. He casually announces that he robbed a bank. She’s undeniably horrified and Ling Qiao can’t help but chuckle. Obviously, he didn’t rob a bank, though it’s very possible he can. She then violently strangles him for scaring her. Just in time, Dad knocks and when he opens the door, Jing Zhi is sweetly sitting on Ling Qiao’s lap, pretending to look at her baby photos. Haha!

Ling Qiao then gets a call from the police station. There, Grandma clears his name. She even reprimands Yan Zi for not identifying the bad guy from the good. Further emphasizing that Ling Qiao is too handsome to be the assailant. Haha!

On the way out, Grandma prods for her granddaughter and Ling Qiao’s possible relationship but Jing Zhi is quick to stake her claim and dashes to hug Ling Qiao. Grandma and Yan Zhi see the possessive gesture and dejectedly leave.

When they were alone, Jing Xhi is first to reconcile. She even suggests that they should call it quits since both of them are at fault. Ling Qiao agrees in exchange of a cherry juice. Haha! Cute!

The enemy was informed of Ling Qiao’s recent good deed and comments that the monster is as helpful as ever. He recalls the time when he was just a child who was running away from the police with his sickly Mom. He was so happy that Ling Qiao helped them escape. But when he learned of Ling Qiao’s healing abilities, he blamed him for his Mom’s demise.

Ye Chen visits Jing Zhi at the film set. He tries to convince her become a part of his experiment. But she dodges his jabs, saying that she has no plans of becoming his ‘guinea pig’ and warns that if he insists, she’ll shout rape. Haha!

Shi Guang is too early for his taekwondo class so he passes time talking with Ling Qiao.  He shares that the exercise greatly help in improving his health. He is amenable that because of his inborn health frailties, his life is short. He has long embraced that fact. The only thing that matters to him is that every moment he spends is spectacular. Ling Qiao admires his positive outlook  and remarks that not all people realize that. Some just neglect what they have in their desire to chase the things they don’t have.

Ling Qiao prepares the ingredients for his dish. Jing Zhi, on the other hand, puts on his apron, intentionally or unintentionally embracing him in the process. He then jokes that he can’t cook properly if she’s hugging him. She immediately pulls away and while Ling Qiao is busy with his task, Jing Zhi muses  on adopting more monsters. Haha!

Once he’s done cooking, he proudly spoon feeds his dishes to Jing Zhi. So as no to hurt his feelings, she pretends to like the meal. But he misinterprets and forces her to eat some more. Haha!

Ye Chen teams up to solve the missing corpse’s case. They talk with the driver who first was first on the scene but the driver cannot remember anything suspicious that night. Ye Chen then shows him the picture of the corpse’s suit and the driver confirms it’s the same garb the pervert was wearing. This is the confirmation Ye Chen was waiting for. Jackpot! Ye Chen is more convinced that his theory is correct. He believes that Jing Zhi’s blood awakened the corpse and in return, the revived corpse saved her. He also adds that the corpse’s blood has self-repairing characteristics that needs to be studied. Still, Yan Zi finds his outrageous theory impossible to believe.

That night, Yan Zi calls Jing Zhi and cautions her to be careful. He shares that though he doesn’t believe Ye Chen, all evidence supports that there might be monster on the loose.  This statement obviously raises alarm.

And because of the dishes Ling Qiao cooked, Jing Zhi suffers  from food poisoning. Ling Qiao quickly comes to her side to give her the ‘special cure’ but she insists that he brings her to the hospital instead. Seems she wants to save her third first kiss for her real boyfriend. Haha! But Ling Qiao didn’t adhere to her wish and continues to force feeds his blood. After she’s healed, Ling Qiao notices her erratic heartbeat and her obvious blushing. He then concludes that she’s a real woman. Haha! Jing Zhi agrees, saying she’s not only a woman but a goddess. Haha!

Jing Zhi pushes him away and tells him to refrain from doing it again because Ye Chen and Yan Zi are getting closer to the truth. It’ll only be a matter of time before they discover that he is the dormant body. But Ling Qiao isn’t a bit bothered because the worst that will happen is they’ll hide in the deep forest and she’ll live like a boor. Haha!

Next, we see Jing Zhi ridiculously posing for the camera at an old mansion. Ling Qiao complains that she’s acting silly again. Jing Zhi then probes why he took her there. He explains that this is one way of retrieving his memory. He shares that he feels a sense of familiarity when he saw the woman and her child. He presupposes that maybe he helped the same kind of pair before. Basically, what they are doing there is reliving his past, so he urges her to be serious in her poses.

Okay, so basing on the sample pictures, how is this picture taking serious? Haha!

Looking at the grand manor, Jing Zhi guesses that Ling Qiao’s death was a crime of passion and his wife might have killed him. But Ling Qiao is fast to negate her assumptions as he is sure he’s not married due to the absence of female items in his house. Jing Zhi tries again. This time, maybe he was not married to a woman, but a man. Haha! Ling Qiao then begs her to maintain a normal thinking. Haha! He assures that he doesn’t have that kind of inclination. In fact, he doesn’t like anyone anymore. He sadly confesses that his long life destroyed all of his affections and passions. Jing Zhi tries to lift the sad mood and tells him to be more optimistic because good things are bound to happen as long as he lives.
